Introduction to Project GUIDE: Guiding ans assisting teachers through collegial
and research – based professional development activities in the new normal
Discussion on the Project
Guided accomplishing of Pre-lesson debriefing and planning
Workshop
INSIGHT:
Adapting of Project GUIDE in the curriculum to help teachers and evaluators
decide on which area to focus on for improvement.
Creating a group within the grade level to come up with a team of evaluators to
track progress of whether the learners’ response, teachers’ manner of teaching,
lesson itself or delivery.
Collaboration in the making of the pre-lesson debriefing of a sample lesson to
practice before implementation is a must for uniform understanding.
It is a key aspect of teacher professional development and a vehicle to increase
teacher knowledge.
It is an essential component of school effectiveness and teacher enhancement.
It plays a vital role in augmenting teacher professional growth and development,
job satisfaction, and professional commitment.
Collegial team creates such a cooperative climate that hightens the level of
innovation and enthusiasm among teachers and and provides a continuous
support for enhancement.
