Executive As stated in DepEd Order no. 42, s. 2016 (Policy Guidelines on Daily
Summary Lesson Preparation for the K to 12 Basic Education Program) provides the legal
basis of lesson plan preparation for the basic education. It indicates the necessity
of lesson planning as a “critical part of the teaching and learning process” which
serves as a guide for instruction and contains details of what a teacher and
learners will do in order to meet the required learning competencies.
As educators, we are committed to making sure that students continue to
experience the care and commitment of our faculty and the routine of daily
learning. We must acknowledge that distance learning is far different from the
normal system of education that we have before. However, prior to the goal of
Department of Education, this pandemic should not stop us to implement
education to the students.
Finally, we should apply all possible measures, and distant learning as one
of the best options that we can have amidst this pandemic. To be equipped with
some technology systems to support distant learning will be a great help for
educators to implement such kind of education, which is a preparation in
adopting of what we so called “new normal.”
