 Vistara is a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines.


 Vistara is quickly becoming popular for its affordable travel rates coupled with premium
hospitality.
 The name 'Vistara' is symbolic of its vision of infinite expansion and the desire of the
airline to become the Best Airline in India to the people.

Basic eligibility criteria for Vistara Airlines jobs for Cabin crew, Pilots, Engineers, Ground
Services & Security etc:

 Applicant should have a minimum educational qualification of 12th/ Graduate / Degree /


Diploma
 Job Seeker should have a good academic record with good percentage (min 60%).
 The candidate should have excellent communication skills, fluency in English & Hindi.
 Good computer skills.
Physical Criteria:

 Minimum Height Required – For female 155 cm (arm’s reach should be 212 cm) and for
male 170 cm.
 Tattoos should not be visible when Vistara Airlines uniform is worn.
 The applicant’s BMI range should be 18 – 22 for females and 18 – 25 for males.

Documents Required:

 The applicants must have an Indian Nationality Certificate, Valid Passport, PAN Card
and Aadhar Card.

General Requirements for Hiring Pilots:

Captain – A320:

 Pilots possessing an Indian DGCA ATPL, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, current class I Medical
and PIC rating on A320 aircraft.
 Minimum flying experience of 5000 hours including 1500 hours in command of a Multi
Engine, glass cockpit, large jet/Turboprop transport category aircraft (MTOW exceeds
15,000 KGS). A minimum of 500 hours as PIC is required on Airbus A320 family
aircraft in order to be considered as a rated commander.
 Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English language to at least an ICAO level
4 standard.
 Should have experience flying with scheduled operator.

Captain – Non Type rated:

 Pilots possessing an Indian DGCA ATPL, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, current class I Medical.
 Minimum flying experience of 5000 hours including 1500 hours in command of a Multi
Engine, glass cockpit, large jet/Turboprop transport category aircraft (MTOW exceeds
15,000 KGS).
 Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English language to at least an ICAO level
4 standard.
 Should have experience flying with scheduled operator.

A320 Rated First Officers:

 Pilots possessing Indian DGCA ATPL/CPL, FRTO, COP/RTR, IR, current class I
Medical.
 Minimum flying experience of 750 hours, including 500 hours on A320 at the time of
joining.
 Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English language to at least an ICAO level
4 standard
Selection process:

 Aptitude/Reasoning skill written test/Online Test (Preliminary Exam)

Cabin crew Rs 26,000 to 31,000/Month Rs 33,000 to 56,000/Month
Ground Services & Rs 17,000 to 28,500/Month Depends on job location and
Security experience.
Engineers Rs 1.8 LPA to 10.4 LPA Rs 8.4 LPA to 10.5 LPA
Pilots Rs 38 LPA to 45.5 LPA Up to Rs 55.1 LPA

2) INDUCTION:

In Vistara Induction their employees are made aware about company policies, procedures and
rules.

3) TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:

 The Flight crews of Vistara were previously sent to Singapore to be trained, using the
facilities of its parent company Singapore Airlines.

Third party involvement:

 Vistara has a partnership with Flywings Simulation Technique Centre (FWSTC).


 It has a recent collaboration with FSTC.

Learning Design &Techniques used:

The Pilots and Flight attendants undergo their training in India, including ‘Safety and Emergency
Procedures’.
The employees are trained for:

 The emergency exit


 Cabin evacuation
 Smoke and live fire
 Water survival training.
 Simulator and Ground training is also given to the pilots & flight attendants.

Vistara airline does not charge anything for its training however they have a bond for one year.

The training lasts for approximately 3 months and if the candidates fails to clear the training
they need to wait for the second attempt until they get new slot and get accommodated with
upcoming batch.

5) PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

 Coordinate crew monitoring via flight audits, performance appraisals and passenger
feedback.. Confirmation of new and promoted crew on probation is done.
 Review and enhance cabin crew performance in terms of service and safety standards, as
well as operational discipline e.g. compliments/ complaints, on time reporting, medical
leave.
 Work closely with HR to resolve disciplinary matters in a timely fashion.
 Accountable for maintenance of up to date records for all cabin crew on performance
matters. . Support development of performance management system by providing
Requirements/ ideas for improvements, carry out user testing and driving.
 Change management activities.
