Purpose
Technology can help in attaining academic integrity. It also meant to figure out the commonality
of academic misconduct and the motives that lead to the switch to e-dishonesty (Rabahi, 2019).
Methods
The researcher chose 120 students at random from four classes across two universities.
Each participant was given a survey that was collected one week after it was distributed. The
questionnaire contained three sections. The first section focused on personal information, the
second section tested their ideas about technology in research and asked them if they ever used
technology for cheating and plagiarism, and the third section raised their awareness about using
Findings
The findings revealed that most students used technology in cheating and plagiarism. The
findings also revealed that universities can achieve integrity if the learners are aware of the

wrong academic dishonesty is but still admitted that they do it. The fact of the matter is that
technology has made is much easier to cheat and plagiarize that is has become such a normalized
activity. Since I teach younger children, academic dishonesty is not something that I have a
major issue with in my classroom, especially when it comes to using technology. However, these

them that it is not okay to cheat or plagiarize even if it is convenient or if other people are doing

wrong.
