ACTIVITY: STORY OF THE MOTH

1. What was the lesson of the story? 5 pts.

The young moth did not listen to its elder because it was so enticed with the
flame. As if the moth was under the flame’s spell, it slowly went closer into the
flame and not listened to its elder’s advice then in an instant, the flame put an
end to the moth. The moral of the story is that we should always take into
account what the elders are saying to us especially if it concerns us.

2. How can you apply this lesson in your life? 5pts.

This lesson of the story is that we should listen to our elders. I realized that the
things our parents are telling us are knowledge they acquired from the
experience life threw at them. We can apply the lesson of the story in our day-
to-day lives and to our big decisions as well. We must also remember, as we
are now considered as adults, we must still take into account what are our
parents are telling us, but let us not make our decisions all based on what they
said. We also need to take into account our views on it and take responsibility
for whatever the outcome of the decision will be.
