ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Implementation of Honeypot on an e-ATM:
 An e-ATM system, a JAVA based web application where users can perform operations like deposits or
withdrawal of money, view transaction history and payment of bills was created and MySQL was used for the
database log entries.
 A LAMP environment based on Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL and PHP, running in a Sun Virtual Box VM was used.
 For automated testing of the vulnerabilities, the W3AF web application scanner was used.
 The testing environment included HTTP GET and POST request and the insertion of honeypots were made using
php_magic_quotes()
 SQL injection, Stored XSS and Command Execution threats that were found during the automation testing was
fixed and documented.

Oracle Data Miner

 Implemented the Data Mining algorithms and techniques.
 Refined and filtered large volume of data using MySQL.
 Performed data pre-processing, classification, clustering and association rule mining algorithms using PL-SQL.

Converting to Electronic Based Applications (Project Management)

 Implemented the Project Management methodologies such as project integration management, scope, time, cost,
quality, human resource, communication and risk management.
 The project charter was created according to the project management standards, defining the roles and
responsibilities, performing the SWOT analysis and holding the kick-off meetings.
 The project scope management was finalized and the WBS was created to effectuate the Gantt-chart, Schedule
table, Network diagram, cost management, quality management and communications management.
 The project was closed after completion using the project management standards.
