Triumphant Institute of Management Education Pvt. Ltd. (T.I.M.E.) is India's leading test-prep

1
Started in a small room of 120 square feet on 26th May, 1992 in Hyderabad with one center,
T.I.M.E. has just completed 27 years of service to the student community – helping to build a
few hundred thousand careers along the way. T.I.M.E. has expanded from one office to 237
offices in about 28 years.

T.I.M.E. has achieved an important milestone of training more than 22 lakh students since
inception and over 1.5 lakh students in FY 2017-18 for the various entrance examinations.

When it comes to results, T.I.M.E. has always been head and shoulders above the rest. 2429
T.I.M.E. students were a part of T.I.M.E.'s flagship programme, the CAT, made it to the
prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (class of 2017-2019). 12 T.I.M.E. students got 100
percentile in CAT 2016.

T.I.M.E.'s performance in financial terms has been outstanding as well - it has grown from a
brand turnover of Rs. 10 crores in FY 2001-02 to Rs. 313 crores in FY 2018-19. The key drivers
of this success are T.I.M.E.'s commitment to students, its pan-India presence, its highly
committed team of R&D professionals and its well-researched study material and unique
delivery of guidance.

Business model of T.I.M.E.:

T.I.M.E. is acknowledged as a multi location and multi program training specialist. It follows a
business model that is a combination of group coaching and selling physical products. Through
this, it gathers a group of aspirants for different courses and trains them for the course. Aspirants
are provided with TIME study package which is physical product of TIME. Some of the
keystones of their business model are:

1) Advertising:

This is usually one of the most widely known ways to make building an online coaching
business. One brings a lot of targeted users to their web properties. And depending on the
kind of numbers and audience you bring the advertisers.

2) Affiliates:

Affiliation means to promote other people’s content and sell it and making a commission
of it. One can choose how they want to sell other people’s products and services and then
make a commission of it.

3) Selling Physical Products:

Selling physical products is something that used to happen in the world of coaching in its
very early days. There have been times today when some world-class coaches are doing

2
physical products to keep things as exclusive. People like Tony Robbins & Russell
Brunson are BIG on physical products.

4) Software/ SaaS Offering:

There is another very niche, yet a good way to make money for coaches by developing
software for the target audience or building a SaaS offering where you can charge
recurring commissions to people and that will help you in building a stable revenue
stream for your business.

5) One-on-one Coaching:

This is where most of the coaches start their career. This is the easiest way to hit the
money in the bank. This is the first type of format they teach. It doesn’t involve any
coaching modules or any curriculum to get this format up and running. There is no cap to
the number of fees you can charge to your clients in one on one private coaching, you can
package it up to make your services as a high-end.

6) Group Coaching:

It is the next level of one on one coaching. Group coaching allows you to accommodate
people in bigger numbers like 5-20 and in some cases even more if you can figure out the
way to keep a good coach to client ratio in the program. Group coaching also allows you
to expand in your revenue, from one-person coaching, to many. So technically you’ll be
spending the same hour that you spend on one on one coaching session but holding
coaching sessions for multiple people.

7) Online coaching:

In the world of the global internet, one can find their coaching clients all across the globe.
Using tools like Skype and Zoom, one can easily run coaching sessions by sitting in any
part of the world.

8) Online Coaching Courses:

In the online coaching course you can literally put your skills and expertise in an online
format, and monetize, is year after year by documenting everything in an audio-video
format. The online coaching course format is one of the most popular categories of
courses that are running these days. You can keep the refreshing course and increase their
value over a period of time.

3
Achievements of T.I.M.E.:

a) 2610 of T.I.M.E. students secured 10,556 final admissions from the IIMs in 2019, and

Problems faced by T.I.M.E. & the solutions to tackle them:

1. Problem:
Parent-teachers-student engagement and collaboration is a common factor when it comes
to students’ performance. But most parents don’t have time to visit the institutions every
now and then for updates due to their occupations.

Solution:
Mobile app and parent/student/faculty portal make it easier for everyone to check their
respective information as and when needed. Also with email/SMS notifications, parents
get prompt updates about their children.

2. Problem:
The tiring day-to-day tasks that are done manually take away the enthusiasm and hardly
leave any time for creative thinking and innovation for teachers & staff.

Solution:
Information Technology help academic tasks such as admission & enrolment
management, program & course registration, time-table, attendance record, syllabus
tracking, examination management, etc. Due to this, teachers and staff can save an ample
amount of their valuable time and can focus on education.

3. Problem:
Conducting online tests and timed assignments is another challenges institute face.

Solution:
Greater student capacity and a number of other benefits like reduction in cost due to
economies of scale, and can lead to a better learning environment by the introduction of
MIS and technologies.
