b. The measures of Central Tendency of petrol and diesel cars fuel efficiency.

Mean 43.926 < 59.529

Median 46.3 > 58.9

Mode 47.9 < 62.8

Figure2: The measures of Central Tendency of petrol and diesel cars fuel efficiency

The best measure should be used for a mean analysis. Because the mean mean of fuel
efficiency should show the progress clearly. From the table we can see that the mean of
petrol cars is less than the mean of diesel cars (43,926 <59,529). It illustrates that diesel cars
are more efficient than petrol in the whole process.

c. The measures of Variation of petrol and diesel cars:

2) Case Study question:

Based on the results from the descriptive analysis, we can see that the mean of petrol cars
(43,826 MPG) is lower than the mean of diesel cars (59,529 MPG) and CV in petro cars
(16% 0 is also lower than CV in diesel cars ( 18%) .Additionally, the position in the Box plot
in petro cars has a range of 20.8 to 53.3, which is lower than the position in the boxplot in
diesel car (range from 35.3 to 83.1.). In conclusion, used car dealer was right that using
diesel would have a lot more benefits than petro cars because diesel is more efficient and
saves fuel cost than petro cars, which brings great benefit to car users.
3) Opinion:
In my opinion, factors such as the price and the quality of the vehicle are worth the money
that customers have spent or are not paying much attention to besides the fuel. Customers
care how long their car will last. In addition, some customers will also notice whether the
warranty service of the brands is good or not.
Part B: News Article Analysis:
Online shopping a ‘habit’ now for Vietnamese, says report
The article talks about the development potential of e-commerce companies after years of
investing in the Vietnamese market and making online shopping to become a part of
Vietnamese consumers' lives. Moreover, the article also mentions what actions and plans the
major e-commerce companies in Vietnam have taken to attract more consumers and show the
fierce competition in the Vietnamese market. The article title still does not cover all of the
findings of the article. It only reflects information about the increasing usage of ecommerce
sites in the world, such as traffic sources for commercial services, and does not mention of
large commercial companies clearly. Futhermore, the numbers given are not convincing
enough and proving what the article wants to mention.
The informational data in the paper are researched and provided by Iprice- Malaysian market
research company. In addition, the population of this report is e-commerce websites in
Vietnam.
There are 2 types of data to be examined in the article. The first of all is the ordinal data of
categorial data. It shows which electronic web traffic sources are most commonly used in
Vietnam. Thanks to this data, the reader can know what sources consumers normally use to
find information, but it does not support and clearly express the meaning of the article title
that online shopping has become a habit of people use Vietnam and still make it difficult for
the reader to understand. Secondly, it is the continuous data in numerical data. It represents
the most visited commercial websites by user by month. And shopee is the preferred e-
commerce player for using by consumers.
The descriptive measure in the article is the mode in the measure of central tendency. It is
used to illustrate which e-commerce sites are most visited and the source of the e-commerce
website's traffic. For example, Shopee is the most visited with 33.59 million visits or 45%
direct visits to websites in pie chart.
The 2 charts used in the article are the pie chart and vertical column, like the below:

Both charts accurately and effectively represent the content that the author wants to show the
reader as for an illustrative pie chart for popular commercial website traffic sources or for
presenting commercial websites. Most accessible for vertical column. Without the graphs, the
article cannot clearly cover the data problems. Thanks to visualization data, readers can
capture and better understand information. Moreover, thanks to graphs or graphics, the
authenticity of the problems raised increases and gives the reader a high level of reliability.
As for complementarity, I think we should add numerical data about how often users use e-
commerce sites or giving a survey about whether to go out and purchase or online shopping
they should prioritize. These are used to supplement and clarify why online shopping has
become a habit as well as reinforce the information that articles give to readers.
As well as mentioned in the previous paragraph, I suggest there should be a paragraph that
explains more clearly the figures in the charts in the paragraph above and what factors have
made online shopping popular among Vietnamese people as well as experiences that e-
commerce websites bring to consumers. Thus, not only help readers expand knowledge, but
small businesses can capture information and renew themselves.
