DESCRIPTION UNIT

Supply, install, test and commission variable speed domestic water booster pump sets with
individual controller on common galvanized steel base frame provided with factory
assembled control cabinet and all the necessary fittings.

The booster system shall include:

1 a) An isolating and non-return valves which shall be fitted between the suction & discharge
manifold and individual pumps.
b) Control cabinet/automatic cascade control/with all the necessary components and
integrated frequency converter mounted on the same frame as the pumps.
c) The system shall maintain a constant pressure though continuously variable adjustment of
the speed of the pumps connected.
d) The pump changeover shall be automatic and depending on the load, operating hours,
fault, etc.
e) Dry running protection either with level switch or similar protection system.
f) Factory made expansion joints on suction & delivery pipes to isolate structure borne noise
in pipe works , absorption of thermal expansion and contraction, etc.
g) Diaphragm tank ,12 bar , about 50 - 100 litre (Follow manufacturer's recommendation)
h) One stand-by pump & shall be cut-in automatically if one of the operational pumps
stopped due to a fault.
i) 110 mm fine filter on the suction pipe.
j) All necessary accessories for the proper automatic operation of the boosting system,
including pressure gauges, safety valves, operating light for each pump, valves manifolds,
etc
k) The manufacturer shall correct or de-rate the booster pumps capacity to an altitude of
2400 meters above sea level to maintain or achieve the capacities given below.

The work shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction, technical
specification and manufacturer's instruction and drawings.

a) Pump Set - (( PP-01) ( to serve the all building fixture))
Model - Hydro MPC Discharge = 2.5 liter/sec each (3 pumps, two operational at maximum
demand & one stand by)
Total Head = 40 meters
Diaphragm tank volume : 50 litre
PN- 20, final volume to be decided by the pump manufacturers, for arresting water hammer
during pump stoppage to a maximum pumping height of 45meters.
