- During the application process, all the required interactions between the candidates and
Selcuk University Coordinatorship of Foreign Student Selection Exam (e-mail, post, fax etc.)
are supposed to be carried out in only Turkish Language.
-The Process and Regulations mentioned in this guide can be revised in accordance with the
general assembly decisions of Council of Higher Education. In this case, Selcuk University
Coordinatorship of Foreign Student Selection Exam adopts a course of action. The
exceptional situations that are not mentioned in this guide will be handled in accordance with
the regulations and decisions made by Selcuk University Coordinatorship of Foreign Student
Selection Exam
SÜYÖS-2020 additional placement application guide will not be published and
distributed.
SÜYÖS- 2020 additional placement application guide will only be attained online.
On the condition that, they are senior class high school students or high school graduates;
1) Foreign nationals,
2) Those who are Turkish citizens by birth but with a later permission for renouncement of
nationality by the Ministry of Interior and those who provide evidence that their under age
Use of Recognized Rights by the Turkish Citizenship Law (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship
Law no: 5901 states the following: “(1) Children who are born during the marriage of a
Turkish mother or father in Turkey or abroad are Turkish citizens.” and the candidates
abroad toapply to admission quotas are advised to view the Turkish Citizenship Law.),
3) Foreigners who have had the right to the certificate of naturalisation of the Turkish
Republic as citizens / those who have dual nationality under similar conditions,
4) a) Turkish students who attended secondary schools abroad before the date of
01/02/2013, including those who have completed the last three years of their secondary
school (high school) education in a foreign country except for Cyprus and those who have
completed their whole secondary school (high school) education Turkish schools under the
supervision of the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in a foreign country except for
Cyprus)
b) Candidates of foreign student admission quotas who started secondary school education
abroad after the date of 01/02/2013, including those who have completed their whole
secondary school (high school) education in a foreign country except for Cyprus and those
who have completed their whole secondary school (high school) education Turkish schools
under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in a foreign country
except for Cyprus)
5) Cyprus citizens who were registered at and attended private schools and high schools in
other countries between 2005 and 2010 with GCE AL examination results or those who will
receive such results,
6) Cyprus citizens who were registered at and attended private schools and high schools in
other countries between 2005 and 2010 with GCE AL examination results or those who will
receive such results,.
1) Turkish students who have completed their whole secondary school education in Turkey
or in Cyprus,
2) Cyprus citizens (except for those who have completed their whole secondary school
education (high school) in Cyprus high schools and have received GCE AL results and those
who were registered at and attended private schools and high schools in other countries
between 2005 and 2010 with GCE AL examination results or those who will receive such
results),
3) *Those who have dual nationality, the first of which is Turkish by birth as stated in Article
a,clause 2 (except for those who meet the conditions stated in Article a, clause 4)
4) Those who have dual identity, one of which is Cypriot, except for those who have
completed their whole secondary school education (high school) in Cyprus high schools and
have received GCE AL results and those who were registered at and attended private
schools and high schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 with GCE AL
examination results or those who will receive such results),
5) Turkish citizens who attend schools in Turkey under the supervision of embassies and
foreign high schools in Turkey or those who have dual identity, the first of which is Turkish by
birth, as stated in Article a, clause 2.
3. DATES OF APPLICATION
4. APPLICATION PROCESS
- Candidates will apply on the application link https://suyos.selcuk.edu.tr/ via uploading the
required documents and information till 25 November 2020 at 17.00.
- Only the online applications are accepted in the additional placement process. Other way of
applications will not be accepted (post, e-mail, face-to-face).
- It is required for the candidates to have 2019 Selcuk University Exam For Foreign Students
(SÜYÖS 2019) and also to get the minimum 40 standard points or more to have the right to
apply for the additional quotas. Candidates not having a valid SÜYÖS-2019 score can
apply with a diploma degree. The candidates having SÜYÖS-2019 score will have first
priority in replacement. After replacement of candidates with SÜYÖS-2019 scores, other
canditates having diploma degrees will be replaced to the quotas left.
-Candidates are supposed to upload all the required documents in full and correctly during
the application process. Incomplete and incorrect applications will be disregarded.
-Canditates are supposed to upload certified copy of their diploma with graduation score
in Turkish on the application link. Candidates are supposed to upload their certified copy of
high school diploma or transcript. Candidates should the originals of these documents, since
they will be handed on the final registration. If the uploaded document and the original of
these documents are found to be different at the final registration, registration will be
rejected. The diplomas without graduation score and the illegible documents uploaded
on the application link will not be taken into consideration and evaluated.
- A Biometric photo taken recently (in the last 6 months) is required to be uploaded. If the
required photo is not uploaded on the system in the desired way, application will be
invalid.
-Candidates have the right to make 5 selections. During selection, students should rank their
choices with care since replacement will be made via order of choice.
- Candidates are supposed to fill the forms carefully, since once the online application
was completed, no correction and change are allowed to be made.
Applicants of students who have made an application more than once and have more
than one user name shall be considered invalid.
If they make a mistake during the application process, applicants should send mail to
suyos@selcuk.edu.tr.
Applications of the candidates who have only filled in the application form, but have
not uploaded the required documents to the system, shall be considered invalid.
- If the candidates have the same scores, the younger candidate will have the priority to be
replaced. So, the incorrect birth of dates declaration will end in rejected application.
- Applicants are supposed to declare their grade on the application system as it has already
been written on their documents without rounding off the grade or converting it into
another grade system. The application will be rejected if the grade on the document does
not match with the grade declared on the application system.
- Candidates should take the conditions and explanations of programs into consideration
during the selection process. Candidates can see the conditions and explanations of
programs they are about to choose when they click on “i” on the right of the quotas.
- Quotas for the programs at Selcuk University that are approved by Council of Higher
Education can be seen on the table. Candidates can make their selections from the
programs on the table.

Russian Language course within the available quota. The duration of the preparatory

Those who are successful on both tests may start their programs. Those who are not

Course”. Students who are successful at the end of the preparatory course and those who
are successful in the exemption test held by the university begin the first year of their four-
year undergraduate program. Unsuccessful students repeat the French Language
Preparatory Course.

See 175. In this program, bilingual education is offered in English and French. Students must take the
exemption test in English and French. Students who pass both exams can directly begin
their undergraduate education. Students who fail one of the exemption tests attend a one-
year preparatory course for English or French. Students who cannot pass neither English
nor French exemption test attend a two-year preparatory course, one year for English and
one year for French. Students who begin their undergraduate education are offered a four-
year bilingual program and they are awarded a bilingual diploma in the field of Translation
and Interpretation.

the Bulgarian Language exemption test can directly begin the first year of their program.

See 236. Apart from the foreign language for the program that students will take its exam, one of the
one year English, German or French language compulsory preparatory program which they
will choose is offered. Unsuccessful students repeat the Preparatory Course. Students who
are unsuccessful for the second time in the Preparatory Course will be dismissed from the
program. Apart from the foreign language for the program that they will take its exam, at
least %30 of instruction is offered in two foreign languages which students will choose.
Students who will be accepted to this program, from the fifth semester with 15 student
quota according to the principals stated by the university ,will also be accepted to
Children's and Youth Literature Minor Program.
