Activity 1
1. Reflect on the objectives for conducting LAC sessions as listed in DO 35, s. 2016.
Rank the following objectives from easiest to the most difficult to achieve:
- To improve the teaching-learning process to improve learning among students (2)
- To nurture successful teachers (4)
- To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve their content and pedagogical
knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes (1)
- To foster a professional collaborative spirit among School Heads, teachers, and the community
as a whole (3)

 The easiest for me is “to enable teachers to support…..” because most teachers are
great communicator and are good mentors in nature. They are good in sharing their
knowledge whether to a student or to a colleague. They are also a seeker of knowledge
and are eager to learn. It is their innate ability and it just naturally comes within
themselves, hence, it is not a big deal to have a give and take relationship within the
education community. “To improve teaching and learning process…” is the next easiest
since we are already considered as proficient teachers. “To foster a professional…. “ is
next to hardest because a community is a big entity that needs to be built harmonious
relationship. The hardest to achieve for me is “to nurture successful teacher.: because
being successful teacher is a subjective It is difficult to measure success. You may felt
successful to yourself but not with others. It also takes a long time to realize your
effectiveness through seeing the success of your students in the future.

2. What are the top three challenges to having a successful LAC? List down and elaborate.
a. Cooperative and participative support system – tis system will help you clear out things
b. Time management – It will help you balance personal and professional task
c. Focused and dedicated LAC members – It will make the task easier to finish.
