Transcendental Meditation (TM) refers to a specific form of silent mantra meditation called the Transcendental Meditation technique. His holiness
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji introduced the TM technique and TM movement in India in the mid-1950s.
It is reported to be one of the most widely practiced, and among the most widely researched, meditation techniques. with hundreds of published
research studies.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The unit takes right steps in identifying the demands of the current industry and prepares

our students towards this need. Adequate emphasis is given on soft skill development,

complementing the regular academic programmes. Aptitude tests and group discussions are

In-campus Accommodation: MUIT University has well furnished residence halls for non-resident students. Keeping
in view our vision of excellence and service, the university residence halls focus on students' holistic development and
provide them a nurturing home. The University offers student accommodation services on first-come-first-serve basis.
Admission to the student accommodation facilities can be obtained only after confirming your admission to the preferred
programme. Admission to the hostels is for one year only. Readmission to the hostel is based on the performance, discipline
and active participation in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities. The accommodation facilities available in various
campuses and the common facilities available in these residence halls are enumerated below:
• Wi-fi: Wi-fi facilities are available 24X7, covering the entire campus
• Gym: Students will be able to access the well equipped gym on campus
• Library: The Library is available for the hostel residents from 8 am to 10 pm
• Security: Security of the students is one of the University's highest priorities. This is why access to the hostel is via the use of a
biometric system only. Security personnel are stationed at the hostel to provide 24/7 security for the residents
• Mess Services: All residents are provided with 3 meals including Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner along with Evening Snacks. The
mess menu is driven by Hostel Student Council
• Air Cooled Rooms: Each hostel room is very spacious and is equipped with cooler/AC along with attached bathroom facility.
Every room is twin sharing and well ventilated, giving adequate space to each resident to manage their daily chores. All the
rooms on the first floor and above open to green outdoors through balcony
• Meditation Hall: There is a dedicated hall for meditation, which can be used by students anytime
