Consistent with the institution’s commitment towards total and holistic human
development for the well-being of society and environment, the University Guidance and
Counseling Center’s vision is to provide a preventive, responsive, and comprehensive
program that cultivates and promotes academic, personal, social, and career growth for all
Vision students through the concerted positive impacts brought about by advocacy, leadership,
systematic change, collaboration, values formation, and effective instructor supervision and
management. In addition, it is the center’s vision to guide and nurture academically-
equipped, morally responsible, and psycho-socially intelligent individuals to be holistically
positive contributors and members of society.
Mission competent and effective instructors, parents, guardians, school personnel, and other
significant community members. Furthermore, the center aims to mold and motivate
students to become lifelong learners, well-rounded individuals, and responsible citizens as
well as instill long-lasting impacts on their developing academic, career, personal,
psychological, and social potentials in a safe and positive environment.
Teachers are the very essence of academic institutions. Having this said, it is very
important to realize that teachers need just as much care and regard as the students.
Teachers are the ones who are directly interacting with students almost on a daily basis.
Amid the hectic workloads, busy schedules, work-from-home setup, and personal or family
problems at home, the mental, emotional, and psychological health of teachers are at risk
now more than ever. With the present global situation and the current academic setting we
have right now, it is undeniable that stress and other psychological and mental issues are
quite rampant nowadays and unfortunately, teachers are not in any way safe from these.
Overview In line of the university’s vision mission, it is significant to note that teachers are one of the
major contributors in the overall development of students. Hence, it is just as essential to
check up on their mental/psychological health and personal/social development as these
factors can greatly affect their overall performance and relationship with students which in
turn may compromise the some aspects of the students’ development.
This particular program aims to address the above mentioned concern related to
mental health and personal/social development of teachers.
