Subject : Proposal to conduct a research project on the effects of poverty on
education

INTRODUCTION :

Education is vital for the future success of young children. Children growing up in
a low income society can affect their learning abilities and their commitment to
growing mentally , which alters their development as an adult. This results in their
growth being reduced and can fall behind compared to other students.
Graduation rates drop for students in low income families in high school and may
influence their lives in the future when looking for a job. Low income students
education is at a lower quality which adjust their development as a child and as an
adult in their future. Children who grow up in low economic situation and
circumstances have a limited range of vocabulary due to a lack of understanding of
material and effort.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS :
In my research I plan to investigate the impacts of poverty on education . My
research will address the following research questions:
 How does poverty affect education?
 What are the effects of poor education?
 Why is education important for people?
 Who are affected by poverty?
 How is lack of education also cause of poverty?
 How does money affect education?
 What can teachers do to help students in poverty?
HYPOTHESIS:

Impacts of poverty on education is both traumatizing and devastating. From my

research, I expect to find that how is poverty affecting education . How poor
education effects on their future life. As education is very important now for daily
life why they are not getting it properly. I want to find out which groups of people
are getting affected by poverty. Lack of education also causes poverty and how
they’re getting affected by it. Money is also reason behind it and how does it
effect. Teachers might do something to fix this problem and I want to know how.

RESEARCH METHOLOGY :
For my primary research , I will conduct a survey of a representative sampling of
the general public in Dhaka and interview people who actually have been suffering
by this problem and find out what significant changes took place in their life after
getting affected by it . To that’s end I will design a questionnaire with different
types of questions so as to get a range of useful data which will help me to answer
my research question.
For my Secondary research, I plant to use the resources of the library and will also
conduct few books and autobiographies of people with this problem. I will also
browse the internet and use standard search engine like google.

ORGANIZATION :
My paper will be divided into several sections , the most important of which are
the Introduction , Background, Data presentation and analysis and Summary of
findings within the sections my organization will be based on my research
questions

TIMETABLE:

I hope to complete my primary research by the early of this semester and my

secondary research by the end of the semester. I will compete writing the final
draft of my research paper by the end of the semester and submit it by the specified
deadline towards the end of this semester.
