Material:
-Scheepjes Softfun crème 2426
-Scheepjes Softfun pink 2514
-Scheepjes Softfun brown 2491
-Scheepjes Softfun Aquarel 807 mixed pink

-Crochet hook 3,5


-Safety eyes 14 mm
-Eyelashes or yarn to embroider the eyelashes
-rouge for the cheeks/ears
-Scissors/needle
-Stuffing

Madelein will be about 40 cm, ears included.

Abbreviations:

Head

Start with crème

1. 6 sc in mag. ring (6)


2. 2 sc in each sc (12)
3. 2 sc in each 2nd sc (18)
4. 1 sc in each sc (18)
5. 2 sc in each 3th sc (24)
6. 1 sc in each sc (24)
7. 2 sc in each 4th sc (30)
8. 2 sc in each 5th sc (36)
9. 1 sc in each sc (36)
10. 2 sc in each 6th sc (42)
11. 1 sc in each sc (42)
12. 2 sc in each 7th sc (48)
13. 1 sc in each sc (48)
14. 2 sc in each 8th sc (54)
15-17. (3 rounds) 1 sc in each sc (54)

Insert the eyes between round 12 and 13 with approx. 17 st in between.


If you use safety eyes with a hole at the end, you can place them now. Pull them together with a
yarn en make a knot in the yarn. It is easier to determine the shape by stuffing the nose a little
bit.

Start stuffing the head
22. each 6th + 7th tog. (36)
23. each 5th + 6th tog. (30)

Stuff the head, cut the yarn, and leave enough to close the circle. Weave the yarn through the
last 12 st and close the circle. F/O.
If you don’t use eyes with a hole at the end:
Insert a needle with thread at round 15 in the neck, right up to the back of the eye. Insert the
needle a bit higher (still behind the eye) at the inside to the other eye. Then, still at the back of
the eye, back down again. Pull the yarn carefully so the eyes lie deeper. Make a firm knot and
try to save some yarn to sew to the body later.
Embroider a nose.

Ears (make 2)

1. 6 sc in mag. ring (6)


2. 2 sc in each 2nd sc (9)
3. 2 sc in each 3th sc (12)

6. 2 sc in de 1st sc, 8 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, 8 sc (20)
1- 12 (6 rounds) 1 sc in each sc (20)

Flatten the ear and close it with 7 sc. Fold and sew the bottom. Leave a yarn and sew the ears
between round 17-19 at the head with 6 sc in between.

Skirt:
Start in the 1st st in round 15 with mixed pink. Insert the hook from top down (neck facing to
you)

1. ch 2 in the first st, 1 dc in each st.


Close with a sl.st in the first dc
2. ch 3 + 1 in the first dc, then *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc* in each dc, close with a sl.st in the first
bow
3. ch 3 + 1 dc in the first bow, then *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc* in each bow, close with a sl.st in the
first bow.
4. Repeat round 3
5. Repeat round 3
6. ch 4 + 1 dc in the first bow, then *1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc * in each bow, close with a sl.st in
the first bow.
7. Repeat round 6
8. Change color to pink: *3 sc in the bow, 1 sc between the 2 dc* F/O.

Upper skirt with pink, in round 16:

1. ch 2 in the first st, 1 dc in each st, close with a sl.st in the first dc
2. ch 3 + 1 dc in the first dc, then *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc * in each dc, close with a sl.st in the
first bow
3. ch 3 + 1 dc in the first bow , then *1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc * in each bow, close with a sl.st in
the first bow.
4. Repeat round 3
5. ch 4 + 1 dc in the first bow, then *1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc* in each bow, close with a sl.st in the
first bow.
6. Repeat round 5
7. Change color to mixed pink; *3 sc in the bow, 1 sc between the 2 dc. F/O.

Stuff the body and sew it to the head.

Start with beige

Change color to pink

Stuff the hand and forearm a little bit, don’t stuff the upper arm. Flatten and sew the arm*. Sew
it at round 30 of the body.
(*I sew (instead of crochet) because the round shape of the puff sleeve remains nicer)

Legs (make 2)

Start with brown

1. 6 sc in mag. ring (6)


2. 2 sc in each sc (12)
3. 2 sc in each 2nd sc (18)
4. 2 sc in each 3th sc (24)
5. 2 sc in each 4th sc (30)
6-10. (5 rounds) 1 sc in each sc (30)
11. 9 sc, 6 sc tog, 9 sc (24)
Change color to crème
12. 6 sc, 6 sc tog., 6 sc (18)
13. each 2nd + 3th tog. (12)
14-25. (12 rounds) 1 sc in each sc (12)
Crochet a few stitches more so the color change will be middle back. Change
color to mixed pink
26. 1 sc in each sc (12)
27. in BLO: 1 sc in each sc (12)
28. 1 sc in each sc (12)
29. 1 sc in each sc (12)
30. 1 sc in each sc (12)
31. 1 sc in each sc (12)

Crochet some more st, so the leg can be flattened, pay attention to the feet. Stuff the lower leg
(don’t stuff the upper leg) and close the leg with 6 sc.

Scallop edge:
Insert the hook from top down, 1 sl.st and 2 hdc in the first st.
*in the next st: 1 sl.st, 2 hdc in the next.* Repeat to the end, close with a sl.st in the first sl.st.
F/O.
Sew the legs underneath the body

Flower:
1. 10 sc in mag.r
2. *2 hdc in the first st, 1 sl.st in the next st*, repeat to the end, F/O

Straps for the neck and waist

For the:
Neck: ch 22
Waist: ch 50
Glue or sew around the neck/waist
(The number of chains may be vary depending the way of stuff and/or crocheting, check this!)

Put some Rouge on Madeleins cheeks and in the ears.


Attach or embroider the eyelashes.
