MATERIALS:
• Light Yarns: Beige, brown, dark pink -or color of election for the bra and starfish-,
mint yarn -or color of election for the mermaid tail-. A little piece of pink and black
yarn.
• Hook size: 2,5mm.
• Tapestry needle.
• Toy stuffing.
• Safety eyes size 10mm.

Finish size: 5,1 inches without the tail. 7 inches with tail on

FLO= Front loops only

HDC= Half double crochet

Legs, body and head are done in a continuous work. Don’t fasten off unless it’s said so.

Legs (make 2)

With beige yarn

Continue from 2nd leg: Ch 2 and SC in the last stitch of the first leg. Put the marker in
the next st (This will be the beginning of the round).

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Fold it at the middle and stuff
lightly.
With black yarn, embroider a nose (3 stitches length, 5
rounds) between round 2-3
Sew muzzle between round 14-16 of the head.

Dog Tail
With brown yarn

Seashell bra (Make 2)

You’ll be working in rows. With dark pink yarn
Row 1. Ch 4, 3 slst, Ch 1, turn. (3)
Row 2. In BLO, 2 slst, INC, Ch 1, turn (4)
Row 3. In BLO, slst along (4)
Row 4. In BLO, 3 slst, INC (5)
Row 5. In BLO, slst along (5)
Row 6. In BLO, 3 slst, skip 1 st, slst (4)
Row 7. In BLO, 2 slst, skip 1 st, slst (3)
Fasten off, leaving a tail. You could sew it directly to the body or join them with yarn to
make it removable.

Starfish
With dark pink yarn
Rnd 1. 5 SC in MR (5)
Rnd 2. INC x 5 (10)
Rnd 3. Ch 5, work in 2nd ch from hook, slst, SC, HC, DC. Slst to next st of Rnd 2. Slst
to next st.
Rnd 4-7. Repeat Rnd 3 until you get 5 arms of the starfish.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to the head.

Mermaid Tail
With mint green yarn
Ch 42, form a circle and close it with a sl st.
Rnd 1. SC around (42)
Rnd 3. Ch 1, SC in same stitch *Skip 2 st. 5 DC in next stitch, skip 2 stitches, SC in
next stitch* Repeat around.
Rnd 4. Ch 3, 2 DC in same stitch. Skip 2 st, SC in the next stitch *Skip 2 st, 5dc, skip
2 st, SC in next stitch* repeat around.
When you reach the end of the row, 2 DC into the chain below the Ch 3 from Rnd 4.,
forming a half shell. Slst in the 3rd chain.
Rnd 5-8. Repeat round 3 and 4
Rnd 9.- CH 2 *4 HDC , DEC* x 7. Slst (35)
Rnd 10. CH 2 *3 HDC, DEC * x 7. Slst (28)

Fasten off leaving a long tail. Fold it and sew them close.

Fins (Make 2)
With mint yarn.

Row 3. 2 slst, CH 2, in BLO 10 HDC, CH 2, turn.
Row 4. In BLO 7 HDC, CH 1, turn.
Row 5. 2 slst, CH 2, in BLO 5 HDC, CH 2, turn.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing them to the mermaid tail.
