After watch the videos, analyze the expressions that used in the videos.
1. Obligation is an utterance to express a necessity, or rule. we can use Must or Have to.
The use Must and Have to is different.
 Must is used when itis important thing to do an action or we give order to people, or in the
other word must is used when the obligation comes from ourself, such as:
 I must go to the doctor, I don’t feel well.
 I must tidy up my room.
 I must go to school every day.
 I must study hard to get a good score.

 Have to is used when the obligation comes from someone else, not the speaker. And the
obligation is necessary because of rules, such as:
 We have to wear the uniform at school.
  We have to bring passport when we go to abroad.

2. Prohibition
Prohibition can be said with must not or don’t have to.
 Mustn’t is used to say that something is against the law.
For example:
 You mustn’t smoke at school.
 You mustn’t use your phone on a plane.
 Don’t have to is used to show that there is no obligation.
For example:
 In this restaurant, you don’t have to wear a tie.
 We don’t have to get up early in the weekend.

3. Suggestion
To express suggestion we can use should.
For example:
 You should drink a glass of water.
 She should go to the dentist.

Now, create some sentences that show expression of obligation or prohibition based on the

Based on the situation below please create a short dialogue that express
obligation/prohibition/suggestion with your partner!
Situation 1 : your friend will have an exam next week, and you know that he/she doesn't study
seriously.
Situation 2 : your sister doesn't have breakfast because she gets toothache.
Situation 3 : when you are at the library and see your friend eat some foods.
You may choose one of the situation. Don’t forget to practice and take the video when you
practice the dialogue. Then, you have to send the video on whatsapp group.
