A transformation process is any activity or group of activities that

takes one or more inputs, transforms and adds value to them, and provides

outputs for customers or clients. Where the inputs are raw materials, it is

relatively easy to identify the transformation involved, as when milk is

transformed into cheese and butter. Where the inputs are information or

people, the nature of the transformation may be less obvious.

Transformation processes include:

• changes in the physical characteristics of materials or customers

• changes in the location of materials, information or customers

• changes in the ownership of materials or information

• storage or accommodation of materials, information or customers

• changes in the purpose or form of information

• changes in the physiological or psychological state of customers.

The Third Process

The result of a process is the output and the output is an object.

Objects can be material, immaterial or imagined such as the product

produced or the service provided. Products are typically tangible whereas

services are typically intangible.

The output of a production process may include the product

produced and the final inspection report. Performing the final inspection

may also be considered a service you are providing your customer. The

product, report, service of performing the final inspection, your customer,

and the process itself are also all considered objects of the production

process.

that they wants and needs.Through customer a company will be measure

of how they are successful in business or not. Customer satisfaction

information, including surveys and ratings, can help a company determine

how to best improve or changes its products and

services.
