PHLGA MEETING MINUTES

Date: July 22, 2021

Call to Order: PHLGA President Linda Ward called the meeting to order at 11:48
a.m.
In Attendance: There were 17 members in attendance.

Approval of minutes: The June minutes were approved by the membership as

written.
From Our President: Linda welcomed everyone and updated us on her
progress. She is now chipping and putting and hopes that she will soon join us on
Thursdays.
Reports:
Treasurers Report: Submitted by Karen Lord and Presented by Paula Hansen.

(a) Operating Fund: $3,732.17

(b) Kactus Kapers Fund: $12,297.94

(c) Cash in Bank Account: $16,030.11
(d) Lynn Zeemont (and friends) has collected over $3,000 in hole sponsor
fees.

Border: Presented by Jean Davis

(a) Congratulations to All of our ladies who attended NM Senior

Women’s Golf Association at Los Alamos for being winners.

 (b) Rosemary McKeown won Flight #1. First low Gross. Jean Davis won
Flight #3 Second low Gross. Lori Coffelt won Flight #4 Second low
Gross and Cheryl Tom-Nelson won Flight #5 Second low Gross.
(c) Our next Senior Women’s tournament is 2-3 days at the Links at
Sierra Blanca in Ruidoso on August 16-18.
(d) Border will be held July 28, 2021 in Deming and August 23, 2021 at
Cree Meadows.

Kactus Kapers: Presented by Linda Ward, Hazel Coelho and Candy Slover

(a) Over 52 ladies have registered to play in Kactus Kapers. We are still
looking for guests for a couple to our ladies. If you can suggest someone
that will be interested in playing, please contact Janis.
(b) Donna and Judy are still talking with our Chef on the menu.
(c) Hazel Coelho let us know that Greg Norman was going to bring in a
shopping extravaganza for the entire 3 days. Mike is also going to stock
the Pro Shop. There will be 3 days of fun shopping.
(d) Candy Slover asked that we start to get the donated raffle items to her.
(e) Candy also explained that thank you notes would be going out to the
businesses and nonmember individuals that donated to the raffle.

(a) No report given.

Advisory Board Feedback: Presented by Paula Hansen

(a) The advisory board did not meet in July.

(b) However, we now have a new grounds keeper. He was previously at
Sierra del Rio.
(c) We are going to have to say Goodbye to Carissa Grace. She will be
joining the staff at White Sands Credit Union on August 6th.
