PHLGA MEETING MINUTES

Date: November 18, 2021

Call to Order: PHLGA President Linda Ward called the meeting to order at 1:00
p.m.

In Attendance: There were 13 members in attendance.

Approval of minutes: There was no meeting held for the month of October so
the minutes for September were approved by majority vote.

From Our President: Linda encouraged us to go down to the locker room and
see the new bulletin boards and pictures. Margie Herberger and Jan Callaghan
have made some new additions and cleaned the area. She also encouraged us to
participate in the Sweet and Sour tournament on Dec. 11, 2021

Treasurers Report: Karen Lord submitted a report for October 31,2021

(a) Operating Fund: 3,678.01


(b) Kactus Kapers Fund: $3,313.21
(c) Cash in Bank Account: $6991.22

Advisory Board Feedback: Presented by Paula Hansen
(a) The swimming pool paperwork has been approved and work should
start in December.
(b) The holes by the cart path are a result of finding clogged roof drains
that have been cleared and new French drains are being installed.
(c) Sixty padded chairs have been ordered for the dining room.
(d) New Kitchen equipment has been ordered and shipped including
refrigeration, fryers, 36” grill, a 36X36” griddle and 6 a burner stove.
(e) Karin Kelly is our new Food and Beverage Manager with s strong
history in owning and running restaurants.
(f) New Club hours for the winter include the bar only being open on
Tuesdays from 11-5. The restaurant and bar are open Wednesday
-Sunday from 11-8pm or whenever the party is done.
(g) There will be a Christmas Brunch offered December 23rd. More
information forth coming.
(h) A New Year’s Eve party is planned with a 1920’s theme.
(i) The club asks our support in keeping all golf carts at least 30 feet
from the greens and sand traps. The sprinklers around the greens do
not support the weight of the golf carts. Also, it is a real safety
concern with the carts close to the sand traps as the side could
collapse resulting in the cart tipping over.
(j) Please fix ball marks and divots! Winter is tough and we all need to do
our part.

Playday: Presented by Paula Hansen:

(a) Jill of the Hill: Cheryl Tom-Nelson


(b) Next week is open play with a shot gun on Thursday for those wanting
to play. No LGA play
(c) December 2nd is Jill’s and Sally of the Valley tournament. Scores will not
be posted until the following week.
(d) December 9th we will have a 9 hole Christmas Scramble with a start time
of 9:30 am. Following play will be out Christmas/Award luncheon.
Winners and points earned pro chop credit for the year will be shared.
