Communication:
The imparting or exchanging of information by speaking,
writing, or using other medium.

Example:
Television is an effective mean of communication.
Telephone lines or Computers sending or receiving
information.

Types of Communication:
Communication have two types.
1. Verbal Communication 2. Non-Verbal Communication

Verbal Communication:
Verbal communication refers to form communication
in which massage is transmitted verbally communication. communication is
done by word of mouth piece of writing.

Non-Verbal Communication:
Non-Verbal communication is sending or
receiving of word massages. We can say that communication other than oral
and written, such as gesture, body language, posture, tone of voice, and face
expressions.
Further verbal and non- verbal communication are classified into other
branches.

Verbal communication:
Verbal communication are two types.
1. Oral communication 2. Written communication

Oral communication:
In oral communication spoken words are used.it
includes face to face conversations like speech, telephonic conversation, videos,
radio, television voice over internet.

Example:
Speech, Debates, Discussion, Dialogue.

Written communication:
In this written signs or symbols are used to
communicate or hand written is massage may be printed or hand written
communicate.

Example:
Books, URL, Magazine’s, Massages.

Non-verbal communication:
There are following type of non-verbal
communication.
1. Body language 2. Sign language
Body language:
When you shape verbal communication, and gives meaning
to communication.

Example:
Expressions, Hand moment, Head moment, Eye contact, posture.

Sign language:
It is done through signs which clear the things clearly. It reduces
human effort and save time. It adds efficiency to human performce.

Example:
Traffic signals, sign boards, Mapping etc.

“Seven c’s of effective communication”:


There are seven c’s of effective
communication which are applicable to both written as well as oral
communication. These are as follows: -
Celerity:
The quality of conveying idea is clear to understand or in proper way.
Concreteness:
Concreteness is an aspect of communication that means being
specific, definite. A concrete communication uses specific facts and figures.
Concrete having a proper structure.
Correctness:
The quality of being free from error, accuracy.
Completeness:
It should convey all facts required by the audience. The senders
of the massage must take into consideration the receiver mind set.
Coherence:
The quality of being logical and consistent.
Conciseness:
Conciseness mean point to point communication what you want
to conveying in least possible words.

Factors of communication:
Factor of communication are three types
1.Sender 2. Medium 3.Reciever

Sender:
Sender who send massage or information to the receiver
through medium.

Medium:
Medium is a device or a thing who communicate with each other
like telephone line, mobile etc.

Receiver:
Receiver who receive information to the sender through
medium.
