What is the PSE Financials Index?

This is the main stock market index of the Philippine Stock Exchange for banks and other
financial institutions.
Where have you heard about the PSE Financials Index?
This index is one of eight that form the Philippine Stock Exchange. It was previously known as
the PSE Financial Index until January 2006, when it was renamed as part of a reclassification of
the PSE's indices.
What you need to know about the PSE Financials Index.
Apart from the PSEi and the PSE All Shares Index, all the other indices of the PSE are sector
indices, based on a company's main source of revenue. The PSE Financials Index, or FIN, is also
home to companies listed on the PSEi, such as the Bank of the Philippine Islands and Metrobank.
Other companies listed include the China Banking Corporation, East West Bank and Union Bank
of the Philippines.
The PSE Financials Index, is the main stock market index of the Philippine Stock Exchange for
banks and financial entities.
This index is one of the PSE indices also home to companies listed on the PSE Composite Index,
namely Banco de Oro Universal Bank, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Metrobank.
The index is a continuation of the former PSE Financial Index, which was renamed during the
reclassification of the PSE's indices on January 2, 2006.
