Autobiography
My name is Emmanuel Labrador Abellana. I was born to Antonia Labrador Abellana and
Gregorio Camacho Abellana. I have 6 brothers and 7 sisters and I am the 2nd to the
youngest siblings in the family. I was born on January 24, 1969 in Cebu City, Cebu,
Philippines. My name, Emmanuel, is a Hebrew origin and the meaning of this is “God is
with us”. In the bible, the name-title applied to the Messiah or Jesus.

Dream/Aspiration
My first dream is to become a Music Teacher, but as I was applying for scholarship at
the school who offered only the course of Bachelor in Music at the Immaculate
Conception School of Music, I was denied by my sponsor due to high tuition and they
cannot afford to send me to school. My second dream is to become an Engineer. With
the blessing and grace from God, I graduated Bachelor of Science in Electronics and
Communications Engineering at the University of San Carlos.
My passion in music did not stop until now. I was able to compose some original songs
like “Theophilus” or Lover of God, O Bulahang Teofilo Camomot, Daghang Salamat, O
Santo Niño, Sto. Niño, Hope of the People, Singgit Kabataan, Marian Songs and other
Music Jingle. As a government employee at the Philippine Statistics Authority, I have
faced many challenges in life especially in delivering of services during an unprecedented
crisis in this time of pandemic but If you love your job you will do great work.

Principle
God has a purpose and perfect plan for my life. Everything that happens to me from
where I came from, I owe everything to God all that I have now especially my family. “To
be of service to others” is my true principle in life. We all have a purpose, some discover
it early in life while sadly, others die with a song in their heart. You can be of service to
others in the smallest way through your thoughts, words, and actions. You needn’t lend
your time to charities to be of service, although it’s helpful. As choir trainer in the church,
is my way of giving of r time and resources by serving God and enriching other people’s
lives.

Goal
I have two important goals I want to achieve in the remaining days of my life. One
is to become the head of office where I could help the government and serve more to the
public. But the most important goal I want to achieve in my life is to provide my children
with education and become a happy person, a faithful and loving father to my children
and to my family. Contented with material things what God has given but spiritually rich.
