CAREER DEVELOPMENT WEBINAR NARRATIVE REPORT

The webinar starts at exactly 2 o’clock in the afternoon. As always it starts

with an opening prayer, national anthem, opening remarks and introducing of the

speaker. Ma’am Genecille Aguirre talks a lot of thing about jobs like the

interviews, work ethics, and work rights. First is job interview, Ms. Aguirre told us

the DO’s and DON’T’s in job interview. She said that we must fully prepared in

taking the interview because this will determine if you’re qualified for the position

you’re applying for. We must have our Curriculum Vitae; we must dress

appropriately, how to answer the questions and how to behave during the

interview. Next is the work ethics, we should have good communication and

collaboration to our colleagues. Additionally, we should go to our workplace as

early as possible to avoid lateness. Lastly, the work rights, Ms. Aguirre tackled

about the salary of an employee, how to complain properly about your employer,

you should have some benefits like PhilHealth, SSS, GSIS and other insurances.

This webinar gave me a lot of useful information that I will use in my future job.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Since we are in pandemic and were not able to do public social activities,

Mr. Mendoza told us to do an alternative project which is NSTP@HOME. In this

activity we will choose one area in our house and we will enhance either

cleaning, planting, painting, etc. Since my place is near the river and surrounded

by trees, the first thing that comes to my mind is cleaning our backyard because

it has a lot of leaves and I want to plant some vegetables like okra, sitaw,

pechay, and kamoteng kahoy in that area. I start cleaning at 9 in the morning and

I finish it at 11 o’clock. You can see in the video that there are a lot of leaves

specifically bamboo leaves. After that I start to plant vegetable seeds. In the end,

it made me happy because our backyard is really beautiful after I clean it.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Since we don’t have a class in NSTP but the NSTP@HOME is still in

effect, I thought myself that I want to improve my room. I look for some LED light

in some online shop applications. I saw that it is not that much expensive so I

bought it. After two days of waiting, the LED light was delivered. With the help of

my cousin, we put the LED light on my wall’s room. It is a 5-meter light so it

almost covers my whole room. After putting it, I test if it’s working or not and

luckily it works properly. As you can see on the picture it makes my room more

beautiful and colorful especially in the evening.

SYNCHRONOUS CLASS NARRATIVE REPORT

This day we have an online meeting and Mr. Mendoza talks about

Fundraising. Mr. Mendoza first defines what is fundraising, and then he also

explains why fundraising is really important and its benefits to the other people.

Fundraising is collecting of money through different kind of activities like fun run.

Then the collected money will be donated to other people who in need like giving

of essential foods and things. Additionally, there are a lot of organizations that

the goal is to help people who in need like Rotary Club. After that, he asked us

why we need fundraising. Before ending our class, Mr. Mendoza gave us an

activity about fundraising. I realized in that class that we must help other people

because they are part of our community and we don’t want to see people

experiencing poverty. I thought to myself that in the future I will make a

fundraising for the benefit of my community.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Today is Labor Day and we don’t have an online meeting so what I did is

the NSTP@HOME activity. After putting LED light in my room, I thought that I

want to paint my wall’s room. So I bought the materials needed in painting

including brushes, paints, and coating cement. The first thing that I do was to put

the cement coating and wait to be dry. On the next day, I put the base paint

which is color white. I put three coating of base paint so that it will look pretty. On

the last day of this project, I put the main color which is pink and I coated it three

times to make it glow. After three days of working, you can see that it’s very

beautiful and makes my room more colorful.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Another NSTP@HOME will be made and I think of cleaning the floor of

our terrace because it is too slippery because of the mosses. First, I gather all

the cleaning materials like brush, powder detergent, and water. Next is I put the

powder detergent together with some bleaching detergent in a bucket of water.

Then I put it to our terrace’s floor and soak it. After a few minutes, I started to

brush it while putting the powder solution. I brushed the floor two times to make

sure that mosses will be gone. After brushing it, I pour a bucket of water while

sweeping the floor so that the dirt will be gone. As a result, our terrace’s floor was

not slippery and it looks clean in my eyes.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Its Saturday morning and NSTP@HOME should be done again. The side

of our house is water drainage, so why not cleaning it. I prepared the materials

needed for this operation like shovel. First is I removed all the leaves and

garbage in the drainage. Then I started to dig it to make the drainage deeper. I

also removed the huge rocks that blocked the water to flow. After 15 minutes of

digging, finally I made the drainage more deep. I tried to put some water if it will

flow smoothly and luckily it flows smoothly.

NSTP@HOME NARRATIVE REPORT

BEFORE DURING AFTER

Its another Saturday and another NSTP@HOME. Since its Independence

Day and we don’t have a synchronous class with Mr. Mendoza, I think of a useful

thing to do in my home and I thought of my electric fan. As you can see on the

picture, my electric fan is broken that its head can’t go back to its normal stand.

So, I thought to myself why not fixing it in an alternative way. I found an elastic

rubber outside my house and it gives me an idea that it can fix my electric fan. I

twined the elastic rubber all over the head of its stand and knot it tightly. As a

result, the head of the fan can now stand and I’m proud of myself because I can

think of useful way to make the things works again.

REFLECTION ABOUT THE NSTP

This subject helps me a lot in understanding my community from small

problem to big problem. Having subject gives me more knowledge on how to

help my community in a small way. The one that I’m very happy about is the

giving of slippers to our community. I can see the smiles from the kids that they

are very happy to have a new slipper and it relieves my tiredness during that

time. Its one of my happiness days of my life that I can help other people in a

small way especially the kids. As a future teacher, I will use the learnings in this

subject my teaching it to my future students that its really good to help other

people who in need because we are in one country and we need to help each

other to develop our society. In conclusion, I became more aware of my

environment and it gives me the opportunity to execute my learnings about this

subject to a lot of people and I’m proud of myself because another knowledge

makes me more a person. Thank you so much to our professor for these

learnings and we will use it in a meaningful way.
