NOTE: As per EASA IR 21, a minor change is one that has no appreciable effect on the
mass, balance, structural strength, reliability, operational characteristics affecting
the airworthiness of the product. All other changes are major changes.

B. REASON

(1) History
One operator has requested the certification for landing capability with a 15 knots
tailwind.
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will limit the installation of Additional Center
Tank (ACT) on aircraft as follow :

- For A318, no ACTs for all models

- For A319 Corporate Jet, up to 6 ACTs
- For A319 "pax" : no ACTs for Weight Variant (WV) 000, WV001, WV003. Up to
2 ACTs for WV002, WV004, WV005, WV006, WV007, WV008, WV009, WV011,
WV012
- For A320 : up to 2 ACTs
- For A321-100 : no ACTs for all models
- For A321-200 : up to 2 ACTs for all models.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin provides manual landing capability with a 15 knots tailwind,
which requires updating of the Flight Manual (FM) and Flight Crew Operating Manual
(FCOM).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator’s request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".

(1) History
One operator has requested the certification for landing capability with a 15 knots
tailwind.
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will limit the installation of Additional Center
Tank (ACT) on aircraft as follow :

- For A318, no ACTs for all models

- For A319 Corporate Jet, up to 6 ACTs
- For A319 "pax" : no ACTs for Weight Variant (WV) 000, WV001, WV003. Up to
2 ACTs for WV002, WV004, WV005, WV006, WV007, WV008, WV009, WV011,
WV012
- For A320 : up to 2 ACTs
- For A321-100 : no ACTs for all models
- For A321-200 : up to 2 ACTs for all models.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin provides manual landing capability with a 15 knots tailwind,
which requires updating of the Flight Manual (FM) and Flight Crew Operating Manual
(FCOM).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator’s request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".
