Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Senior High School


Grade 11 TVL-ICT-CSS
March 29, 2021

I. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
A. Content Standard: The learners demonstrate and understanding of
concepts and underlying principles in performing computer
operations.
B. Performance Standard: The learners shall be able to perform computer
operations based on a given tasks.

C. Learning Competency: Access information using computer keyboard


D. Learning Objectives: At the end of the session, the learners are expected to:
a. Identify desktop icons;
b. Explain the function of desktop icons;
b. Appreciate the importance of using desktop icons and proper
keyboarding in accomplishing tasks.
II. SUBJECT MATTER : Performing Computer Operations
A. Reference: MELCS TVL-ICT-CSSNCII (TLE_IACSS9-12PCO-Ie-f-6)
Module 3 Quarter 1
B. Materials: Laptop, Television, Cartolina, Pentel Pin

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE:


A. Preliminary Activities:
 Prayer,
 Greetings
 Checking Attendance
 Review
* Call a Student to answer a question,
What is Computer?
 Pre- assessment
Instruction:
1. A ramble letters with definitions will show to the students.
2. Students then will determine in five (5) seconds the correct answer based
on the rambled letters and definition.
3. The word/s to be rambled are: Files, Recycle Bin, Folder, Desktop Icon,
Qwerty.

B. Motivation: The teacher ask students questions:


1. Based on the pre-assessment what functions of desktop would you
like?
2. Then the teacher will explain to the students what are the things
he/she capable of.

C. Presentation

1.Activity
“Picture Analysis”
Instruction: 1.The teacher will show a graphic organizer with a
functions of desktop icons.
2. Students will provide ¼ sheet of paper then in three (3)
minutes they will going to analyze the picture and answer the question
1. What can you say or observe in the picture?

2. Analysis:
“Find me a match I’m alone”

Instructions: 1. Teacher will show a function of desktop icons in the


power point presentation.

2. Then the teacher will provide a list of output thus the


function of desktop icons.

3. Then the student will find a match of the possible


output of the function of desktop icons.

D. Abstraction

Instructions:

1. The class will divide into two (2) groups.

2. Each group choose a leader for their presentor.

3. The teacher will give five (5) minutes to each group for discussion
and another two (2) minutes for presentation.

E. Application
.Instructions:

1. This is the continuation of the group discussion

2. Each group will be given another five (5) minutes for


discussion and 2 minutes for presentation.

3. Each group will choose who among the functions of education


in the society that gain interest to a student.

Materials: Cartolina & pentel pen.
