OF NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand is an island

country in Oceania located
between the parallels 34º and
48º S, approximately in the
antipodes of the Italian
Peninsula. It has an area
of about 269,000 square
kilometers and more than
15,000 kilometers of coastline.
Its capital is Wellington
One of the main defining
characteristics of New Zealand is its
isolation, as the country is
thousands of kilometers away from
its closest neighbors (Australia,
Tonga and Fiji). Despite this, it is

a territorial claim in Antarctica: the Ross
