SAMANTHA: and Samantha Pangan for our show AR: Talk About It. From the first batch to undergo K-12,
then experiencing online learning, and now, “new normal. These batch of students truly had it.
HECTOR: That is true partner. Moreover, college students that are supposed to complete or take their
OJT are the ones which are affected the most, due to the limited companies taking in OJT through online
means.
SAMANTHA: Indeed. This one hits hard especially to courses that needs to go out in sites and fields, to
accurately do their jobs right.
HECTOR: That is why today, we have invited a college student to our show, please do introduce yourself.
RESTY: Good day. I am a college student from PLV, my name is Resty Ramos, and I am currently a third
year Civil Engineering Student.
HECTOR: Can you tell us what do you think are the hardest parts of taking up an Engineering course?
RESTY: Well yes of course. I think the hardest part of taking this course is that you have to want it. You
can’t just take it for the title or the praises. You have to take it because you have passion for it, or else
you’ll burn out really fast.
RESTY: In all honesty, I think the pandemic made it harder to retain my passion in CE, but I am striving
hard not to let my fire go out.
RESTY: I fear that I will graduate and be incompetent especially since finding companies to do my OJT
hours in are very limited.
HECTOR: We introduce you Aurora Revolution’s very first service to our CE community! The app for
students and graduates alike!
SAMANTHA: This app we call matChE, will help college students in the CE department find the perfect
companies to do their OJT in!
HECTOR: Not only does the student benefit from this, but also the schools and companies. They can
monitor their students through the apps and the comments about the students work can be accessed by
the school through the app!
SAMANTHA: No more will be the OJT search be hard for the ones in need of hours.
SAMANTHA: By downloading our application, you will have access to different companies that are
accepting OJT students.
HECTOR: Students will also be able to upload their resumes here and gain recommendations from the
companies for their future work. Also, fun fact, this company requires 300k for the rough development
of the app and it only continues to grow.
SAMANTHA: This app is made for Civil Engineering by Civil Engineering. So what do you think Resty?
SAMANTHA: The app will be available to download in Play Store and Apple Store soon!
HECTOR: That is our time today folks! Thank you for joining us today Resty! We wish you luck on your
future endeavors!
SAMANTHA: And that is our time! Please support us by following us on facebook and Instagram.
HECTOR: We also have twitter and a YT channel. Our handle is Aurora Revolution.
SAMANTHA: Again we are your hosts for AR: Talk about it! I am Samantha Pangan
