Question 1

a) Analyse and appraise Dovernet’s performance management system. In your analysis, you
must describe and apply relevant course concepts and then appraise the effectiveness of the
system in relation to the company context. Your analysis should cover the Dovenet’s
approach towards:

1. Goal-setting
2. System of ranking individuals
3. 360 degree feedback
(30 marks)

b) From the case vignettes, discuss whether:

i) Kristina Chung should give Trent Raynor an “A” or “B” performance rating this quarter.
(10 marks)

ii) Tom Goldstein should give Gwen Davidson a “B” or “C” performance rating this quarter.
(10 marks)
