Your post does quite well in comparing and contrasting the not-for-profit and the for-
profit organization. It comes out clearly on the resemblances between the two types of
organizations, and that makes it interesting to learn that what people consider two different
things could have some likeness. A striking similarity is that both have given set of objectives,
which they intend to achieve using limited resources, and thus, rely much on managerial
functions to reach their goals (Similarities & Differences between Non Profits & For-Profits,
n.d). That way, despite the perceived difference, there may be no visible difference from the
organizational structures.
That notwithstanding, the post does great in explicating the variations between the two
types of organizations. Indeed, it is true that the main difference between the two types of
organizations is in their central focus; unlike the for-profit organization, nonprofit organizations
are meant to serve the community. Therefore, management’s priority is at stakeholder welfare,
not profit generation. In fact, nonprofit organizations could get external funding such as grants to
serve its stakeholders who do not necessarily have to finance the business, but profit
organizations cannot. Besides, nonprofit organizations may not have employees like in the case
of profit firms; instead, the former could be run by volunteers (Similarities & Differences
between Non Profits & For-Profits, n.d.). Hence, there is a contrast between the two.
Elsewhere, your paper rightly recommends the goal approach for evaluating the
performance of the police department. Ideally, it could be difficult to appraise a police unit in a
medium-sized community because of the size of the community. Henceforth, the goal approach
alone is not enough; it is necessary to consider using the internal process approach. This

approach would help in determining if there are any malfunctions within the firm, unlike the goal

thought-provoking on the aspects of effective and ineffective communication. Chun & Choi
(2014) postulated that it is necessary to have a precise and concise communication system as that
would get rid of any conflicts of interests. With conflicting interests, every team is bound to stay
at the storming stage, where no progress is realized (Marquis & Huston, 2017). Therefore, your
post is right on the idea that communication plays a primary role in ensuring the success of an
organization.
Also, it is commendable that the paper touches on the concept of employee development.
It entails empowering a worker, maybe through training, which makes them more efficient in
what they do. That would call for a democratic approach to management, where the manager
would form good relations with their juniors and guide them through effective top-bottom and
bottom-top communications (Marquis & Huston, 2017). In turn, that would lead to a more
productive organization with a highly satisfied workforce. So, it is prudent for any manager to
give their juniors the opportunity to develop their skills as that would boost output significantly.
operational costs, enable the business to share risks with the supplier, and ascertain maximum
expertise as the supplier would be specialized. However, it makes the business dependent on the
supplier; if the latter stops working, then all business operations would stop (Amulvenna, 2019).
Therefore, it is a major concern that the outsourcing organization chooses a good supplier who
