Greetings from the Vice Chancellor

My Dear Students,
Warm Greetings from Vice Chancellor of Amity University Haryana.
I am writing this letter to welcome you to your university, now that the new academic session
is commencing from Monday, 9 th August 2021.
Though we are beginning our academic session online, but have planned to open the
university for final year students from 23 rd August, 2021. I am sure that you will be as excited to
come back to our lush green and academically vibrant campus as much as we are to welcome you
back to the university, whose vibrancy of Academic, Research, Innovation and Extension services are
always enriched by your radiance presence and active participation.
It has been almost one and half year ever since the university was closed due to Coivd -19
pandemic lockdown. A lot has changed since then. Online classes, online examination working from
home and interaction with the people of high eminence through webinars have undoubtedly kept the
tempo of teaching learning high and largely unperturbed by the massive disruption that the Covid-19
Pandemic has intended to cause to the education landscape. A new India, in fact a new World is in
the making to which you will have a great role to play being empowered with great knowledge and
Innovation power and a commitment and resolve for a sustainable bright future for the mankind at
large.
You as the new age learners and your teachers both have responded highly positively to meet
and greet this massive challenge of Covid-19 disruption. I wish to warmly acknowledge the positive
mindset with which both our students and teachers have embraced advantage connectivity and
technology to continue to march on Path to Excellence in Academic, R&D, Patenting and Innovations.
I am happy to note that during this pandemic lockdown apart from online classes and online
examination our faculty and research scholars have published 1010 papers, submitted 140 R&D
projects to reputed national and international agencies, received funding for 20 R&D Projects for a
total of Rs 11 crores, filed 61 patents together giving us the convection that under the visionary
leadership of the Hon’ble Founder President of Amity University Dr Ashok K Chauhan and
Inspiration Leadership of our Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Aseem Chauhan, the Amity University Haryana
is poised to achieve its goal of becoming one of the best university in the country and a highly reputed
research university globally.
 I should not fail in my duly to mention that despite a sense of normalcy returning to the
campus, we all need to remain utmost vigilant and self-disciplined to follow the Covid-19 guidelines
of wearing the mask, maintaining social distancing, sanitizing hands as often necessary and comply
to other mandating precautions to safeguard ourselves and the university community from any future
outbreak, I seek your full cooperation in this respect. Mej Gen GS Bal, the Dean of Students Welfare
would be your guide and mentor for all Covid-19 related safety precautions and his team shall remain
committed to ensure strict compliance of Covid-19 protocol for the university community.
I and my team of officers, Deans and HoIs and HoDs shall always be available to provide you
the support and services to make your student life a highly rewarding and fulfilling experience at
AUH. Feel free to let me know if I could be of any help to you to support you to fulfill your goals of
life.
