Statement of Purpose

I am Waqas Hussain, a permanent resident of Pakistan. I was born on 14 May 2003 in Gujrat, Pakistan. I
was born when the computer was the greatest invention and technologies were ascending at their peak.
Now currently, we are living in the computer generation era where everything relies upon computers.
Computers are used everywhere, whether we talk about biological research or chemical or physics laws,
or we talk about domestic products. Computer involvement is everywhere, and that thing changes our
lives drastically. When I was young, my father brought me a computer. Ever since I have enjoyed playing
with computers and experimenting with different applications. I am very interested in computers, and
my keen interest in computers motivated me to pursue further studies in the computer field.

My aim and desire in my life are to get top-quality Education; hence, I decided to study in a foreign
country to get a quality education that is not available in my home country. I chose to study abroad to
study in an ideal environment to build my personality, skill, knowledge & ideas to utilize my expertise in
the relevant field. All can be satisfied by getting good quality and standard of Education. Quality of
Education will also make me able to compete in the upcoming competition in the job market because
the world is changing rapidly, the business boundaries are expanding, multi-nationals are operating in
each corner of the earth, and shortly it will turn into a global village, which already has to some extent.

Studying abroad decision was not an easy option when I was aware that I would be gone for several
years, far away from my parents and my best friend, and would be unable to taste my mom's hand-
cooked food, see her smile, family gatherings, festivals, outing with my friends and many more. But the
bitter truth is that Pakistani education systems are primarily results-driven, and it rarely measures the
employability of students in niche segments of research, product development, etc., so I had to choose
to study abroad. Also, the syllabus that most universities in Pakistan follow today has been dated very
old. No one is taking pains to change or modify them, which makes Pakistan's education system based
on only theoretical knowledge, and it's only half of the inside as compared to those who learned
through practical ways as well, which means the Pakistan education system merely provides half of the
ability. Therefore, to gain a complete understanding and prepare for my bright future, I opted the study
abroad.

Moreover, When I researched a few Universities in Pakistan, like UMT, UET, NUST, COMSATS, and many
more, they have yet to specialize in IT. All Pakistani universities have a Bachelor's in Information
Technology course, four years long. Moreover, employers in Pakistan prefer an international degree, so
securing a degree from Australia will assure me of a shining future. Since my birth, I have been studying
in my home country. Still, as per the demand of this challenging world, I wish to have an international
degree as Pakistan's degree is not globally competitive. Education is pivotal in finding a competitive job
and better job options. An international degree in my CV will make the job search easy.

Similarly, the survey shows that international students get excellent jobs in the first interview phase,
while national degree holders suffer more. On the other hand, meeting people from different countries
and sharing cultural values and ideas will be an overjoying part of studying in Australia. So, for these
reasons, I decided not to pursue my further Education in Pakistan.

To achieve my goal, I put all my efforts together to qualify for the foreign institute's requirement;
academically, I completed my matriculation BISE Gujranwala in Sep 2020. After this, I completed my
Higher Secondary School Certificate from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education
Gujranwala on 20th Oct 2020.

I did PTE preparation after my intermediate and appeared in the exam on 27 Jan 2023 scoring 57 overall.
After my PTE, I now feel more confident that it is the best time must make a move to further my
qualification from Australia.

After deciding not to study in Pakistan for further Education, I started researching different countries
where I could pursue my further Education. As I researched the world's best educational providers
through the internet, I found that Australia is the most suitable destination for me.

Nowadays, Australia is becoming the most popular international student destination among many study
destinations because of the modern education system of Australia. The most important reason to select
Australia for my further studies is the globally accepted degree from most Australian institutions.
Australian Education is theoretical and practical, which is necessary for every student. There are many
more options in Australia for the student (22,000 courses provided by 1,200 institutes). Compared to the
other best destinations USA and In the UK, living costs and tuition expenses in Australia are much less
costly. Australia gives more scholarship opportunities, i.e., investing about 200 million in international
students, which is far more than other countries and is a straightforward way to invite international
students full of support.

Another thing that captured my mind in Australia is the vital Education Service for Overseas Students
(ESOS) Act, which protects student rights. The Education service for overseas students Act framework
protects the rights of overseas students in Australia. Australia also protects international students'
tuition
fees through the Tuition Protection Service (TPS). The TPS assists international students like me whose
education providers cannot fully provide their course of study and ensures that international students
can either complete their studies by transferring students to another system or with another
educational institution or receive a refund of their tuition fees from their education provider. Also,
Australia provides PSW opportunities for international students, which will help me gain international
work experience.
Australia is a multicultural country with a student from all over the world with different religions.
Culture and language are getting admission at Australian Universities, which makes Education in
Australia more dynamic.
Cultural exchange can exist among many nationalities, which will also make me understand the way of
living of different people from different corners of the world. There is unity in diversity in Australia also
encourages me to come to Australia for further Education.

The UK is one of the best international student destinations in the world. The frequent alternation in
immigration policies has made me aware of not choosing the UK as my study destination as the change
affects the UK'S education system and ultimately hampers the grades. And the UK currency rate is higher
than that of the Australian dollar, which will surely make the living expenses and tuition fees in the UK
more expensive than in Australia. In the USA, students need to take several pre-enrollment
examinations such as SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Testing) Tests to get
admission to the USA
Universities. And as per my research, I found Bachelor's degree in the USA needs four years to complete.
In contrast, an Australian Bachelor Degree is three years, which means I can save a whole year's
duration. Compared to Australia, overall tuition fees and living expenses are also very expensive in the
USA. Also, there is always news of gunfights and murders in the USA, which discouraged me from
studying in the USA. European countries were not on my priority list as European countries due to their
language requirements, and it's tough as a nail to learn their language and takes exceedingly time-
consuming and would cause a language barrier despite knowing most European.

Counties Germany, Italy, and Norway provide free Education to international students. Without knowing
their native language and knowing it would take ages to learn the language, free Education didn't
captivate me. Similarly, Asian countries like China, Japan, Singapore, etc., will arouse the language
barrier too. So, with all the comparisons, Australia suits the best .

Australian college has an excellent international reputation for providing high-quality education
for information technology students. I have researched many colleges and universities in
Australia like CQ University (CQU), the University of Western Sydney (UWS), and the
University of New South Wales (UNSW), etc. After visiting many sites of these colleges and
Universities and information from the student’s experience. I came to the conclusion to
undergo further study at CSU. CSU is one of Australia’s largest providers of the best quality
education and is dedicated to excellence in the delivery of higher education and has a well-
earned reputation for providing exceptional education delivered by dedicated professionals
with practical and relevant industry experience. In the world rankings of Australian Universities,
CSU is ranked in the 29th position. In CSU, 44.5% of students come from remote and regional
areas. CSU is also the winner of the Green Globe in 2016. It is a dynamic and quality-driven
university. The course of CSU helps many
students launch successful careers in the technology fields, assists its students in deepening
their industry knowledge, and provides a strong focus on theory and practical skills. The course
fee at CSU is reasonable and affordable compared to other universities. Due to these features, I
selected CSU to continue my further study in the information technology field in Australia.

I applied at Charles Sturt University (CSU), Sydney, Australia, to pursue a Bachelor of computer
science this is my first preference and the Bachelor of Information Technology that is my
second preference for the July intake. These courses delivered in the Sydney campus which will
start on July 2023 and end expected on July 2026. The total fee structure of the course is AUD
$41,460.

I plan to be an IT entrepreneur in my country Pakistan, so I am choosing the Bachelor of

Computer Science program for my undergraduate study. This program is an important step
toward achieving my future goals and objectives. I researched various specialist topics, tools,
and environments. This program offers a balance of advanced practical skills and theoretical
knowledge, equipping students with the necessary tools to enter a wide range of IT disciplines
and gain successful employment. Through this program, I will gain an in-depth understanding of
current and emerging methodologies. Additionally, this program will include modules such as
Scripting Language, Big Data, Cyber-Security, Cloud Computing, and the Internet of Things
which will expand my theoretical and practical knowledge in several areas of Computer Science.
My existing studies are also in this domain, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science will
progress my previous research.
Regarding my short-term professional objectives, I wish to work for top-tier organizations like
as Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, or Oracle. Long-term, I hope to climb the
corporate ladder and become the Chief Technology Officer of a prestigious company in my
home country.
I've always been a quick learner with a firm understanding of the most recent industrial
innovations. My academic achievements and total job experience in the field of IT have given
me the courage to remain optimistic in the face of the challenges of pursuing a master's degree
in information systems. This program will help me obtain a greater understanding of the field
and global software industry developments. I remain optimistic that I will be able to use my
degrees and expertise to obtain a decent position in the IT industry and to work on building
better, fresher, and more advanced technologies to fulfil the needs of modern customers.

My family is also quite financially stable. My family and I have deep economic and social ties to
Pakistan, our home country. As a family, we have a strong financial base; my father is retired
from the post office, is the owner of 13 acres of agricultural land, and has extremely significant
sources of annual income and savings from his employment.

My family consists of five people, including me; my father "Muhammad Asghar" is the head of
the household, my mother "Shazia Sultana" is a retired Headmistress from Government School,
and my eldest brother "Muhammad Usman" is an Electronics (CNS) Supervisor at International
Airport Sialkot. My younger sister Sadia received a degree from the University of Punjab.

My father is my financial sponsor because he owns the land and earns a substantial income
from it. According to the Federal Board of Revenue Pakistan (FBR), my father's annual income is
Rs. 8,428,000/=, which is about equivalent to AU$70,673/=. As a result, he can easily meet the
Australian immigration standards for annual income and can easily support and cover my
complete education and living expenses in Australia. My visa application is accompanied by all
of my father's essential documentation, including verification of our familial relationship and
annual income.

In Australia, finding a room or apartment where you feel at home will be accessible. There are
numerous convenient options available for various types of lodging. Here I would like to call
your attention to the fact that I have yet to make any plans, as my institution recommended I
booked my accommodation when I was given a student visa, after which it will be easy to rent
suitable accommodation. After receiving my student visa, I am confident that I will have little
trouble finding housing; I will organize apartments and rooms through the following websites:

It's my first experience moving abroad. I am applying for the first time for a visa application. My
visa application has just been accepted and accepted.
I am looking forward to my visa application for Australia.

After completing my Degree and Post-study work visa, if I get the chance to have PSW, I will
return to my home country with an Australian degree and experience. I have my family over
here, and I am responsible for them. I am the youngest son in my family, and I need to take care
of them in their old age. We do have properties in Pakistan I also need to take care of them.

At this moment, I certify that the information above, which has been supplied in support of my
admission application, assists me in demonstrating that I meet and satisfy the Genuine
Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements. I further certify that the information provided is
accurate. I know that if any false and misleading information is found in my Statement of
Purpose, the university has a right to refuse my application.
