Subject: Report on Certain Grievances of office staff

Dear Sir,

This report is submitted in response to your directive no 100 issued on July

13, 2021 in which you asked the undersigned to report you the grievances of our
office staff. In the respect, I meet a number of the members of our staff and made
thorough inquiry. My finding are as under:

Our office is open at 7:30 a.m. the staff finds it difficult to reach there in time. The
office is seven to eight kilometer away from the city. It is not easy to get a bus early
on the morning for the office because of school and collage timings. The members
of the staff are, therefore, often late. The office supervisor is a very strict man. He
never spares them for being late.

He cannot be blamed for it. But this has created a sense of frustration among the
office staff.

The office break for lunch is for only 30 minutes. There is no cafeteria in the office
or near the office. The nearest hotel is situated at a distance of half a mile. Again,
they are taken a task by the office supervisor for returning late from lunch.
The office staff do not enjoy any medical facility. Last year Mr. Ahmed the office
peon met an accident while he was on duty. But he was not offered any medical
assistance by the company. Ahmed does not seem to have forgotten this shabby
treatment up to this day.

Our company has not offered any bonus for the staff for the last six years whereas
the staff of other companies enjoy bonus every year. It has also created frustration
among our staff members.

Recommendations:
In view of these findings, I make following suggestions:

1. The office time may be changed from 7:30 am to 8:00 am, this will make
things easier for staff:
2. I strongly recommend that out company should open a cafeteria of its own
within the premises of the office. The office staff should be sold tea, milk and
eatables like biscuits, cakes, rusks etc. on no profit basis. This step will go a
long way in removing one of their hardship:
3. The office people are not given any medical facilities. It is sheer injustice to
them. They should be given medical facility or allowance.
