In order to sustain of our fully refereed, open access Periodical Turkish Journal of Biochemistry, each article accepted for publication in is subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC). This charge is essential to cover the costs of the peer-review process, professional typesetting and copyediting, as well as online hosting, long-term preservation, distribution to libraries and content aggregators worldwide, and extensive promotion to potential readers. Please note, that there are no charges for manuscript submissions: the fee is due only for accepted manuscripts after the peer-review process. Editors and reviewers are not involved in author payment process and do not discuss charges with authors. The ability to pay does not influence whether or not a manuscript is accepted for publication. The APC is Euro 600/paper. However, depending on the economic strength of the country in which the corresponding author is located, discounts of 50% or 75% respectively may be applicable. The details: • The full APC of Euro six hundred (600)/paper is due for authors from countries, classified by the World Bank as high income economies (data.worldbank.org/income-level/high-income), • An APC, discounted by 50% (Euro three hundred (300)/paper), is due for authors from Turkey and other upper middle income and lower-middle income countries (data.worldbank.org/income-level/upper-middle-income; data.worldbank.org/income- level/lower-middle-income), • An APC, discounted by 75% (Euro one hundred and fifty (150)/paper) is due for authors from low-income countries (data.worldbank.org/income-level/low-income). WAIVER POLICIES AND FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES If the corresponding author is affiliated with an organization, which is listed as an Institutional Member, this membership offers a discount on Article Processing Charges and the author has a reduced expense.
