ASSEMBLY MODEL OF PLUMMER BLOCK

Objective
To design and assemble the PLUMER BLOCK for the given dimensions Using
Fusion 360

Block digram

MODEL OF UNIVERSAL COUPLING:

Design of individual components:
Design of body
Design of cap

Design of bearing top half

Design of bolt

Design of nut
Design of shaft

Methodology Proposed
 Fusion 360 is a cloud-based collaboration platform that helps users create
3D computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) product prototypes.

 Key features include sketching, version control, public/private design

sharing, feedback capture, shape optimization and probing. Designed for
midsize to large businesses, Fusion 360 allows users to design product
models of various forms such as parametric, direct, freeform, surface, sheet
and mesh.

 Its data management tool enables enterprises to leverage data by managing

user permissions and track changes in the design process.

 Additionally, the product offers simulation, which allows users to run

multiple tests on designs, compare results and determine displacements

COMMANDS USED TO SKETCH THE PARTS:

 Create sketch - It helps to draw on the plane that you choose.

 Extrude - Use the Extrude command to create a solid body from a sketch
profile or face.

 Revolve - Select a sketch profile or planar face to revolve and Select a

sketch curve, edge, cylindrical face, or axis to revolve around.

 Hole - This feature helps to place holes in the body. Select a Placement
setting: At Point (Single Hole) From Sketch (Multiple Holes) - Select a face,
plane, or sketch point to place the center of the Hole. Adjust size, shape, and
position settings as needed.

 Mirror - This command is used to create copies of faces, bodies, features, or

components, mirrored at an equal distance across a plane or planar face.
 Fillet - The command is to round the edges of a solid body by removing
material from exterior edges or adding material to interior edges.

 Physical Material - command to apply color and engineering properties to

components and bodies in a Fusion 360 design. In this model Cast steel, C1,
and Fe-410 W materials are applied.
