1.1 GeneralDangersin the Caseof Failureto Observethe Safety lnformation

The electricdrive is designedto the state of the art and was checkedJor operatingsafetybeforedelivery.
Nevertheless, the machinecan representa dangerwhenit is improperlyoperatedby insufficiently trained
personnelor employedfor inappropriate use.

This means:
r Dangerto life and limb
. Dangerto the machineand othermaterialpropertyof the owner
. Dangerto etficientoperationof the machine

1.2 Safety-ConsciousWorking
Any personoccupiedin the ownedscompanywith setup, operation, correctivemaintenanceand repairof
the electricdrive must have read and understoodthe Commissioninglnstructions, especiallythe sectionon
safety.

It is advisablethat the ownerhas that confirmedin writingby all such persons.

The drive must be connectedand maintenancecarriedout by qualifiedand authorizedspecialistsonly.

The responsibilitiesfor operation and maintenanceof the drive must be clearly defined and observedin
as far as safetyis concemed.
orderto avoidindefiniteresponsibilities

For all work relatedto setup, operation, resetting, adjustment, maintenanceand repair, the systemmust be

shut down. Shuttingdown the system meansthat the drive is turned off with the main switchthus deener-
gizingall its components. The EMERGENCYSTOPfunctionsmustalso be checked.
