Basic Concepts of Data Management

Based from the article assigned, answer the following question: How has the number of published
papers about Big Data modeling and management changed over time?

The study collected data using bibliometric analysis about the researchers and publication records
with the countries that contributed in the subject, as well as the influence of the selected studies and how
the research has progressed over time, as well as the journals and conference papers where the studies
were published.
The following is a review of the results of the inclusion phase, as well as some key findings: (1)
there were no applicable studies regarding Big Data modeling conducted prior to 2010. (2) The number
of studies has risen dramatically since 2015, with 318 publications published in 2018. Before August of
this year, there had already been 106 publications. Finally, with 760 collected works, Scopus ranked first
among all considered references, followed by WoS. Scopus earned the highest score of 95 out of all the
sources considered.
The selection stage's results are ordered by source and year. The following are the results: (1)
Prior to 2013, no related studies were discovered; (2) the year in which the most studies regarding Big
Data modeling were discovered was 2018. However, it is important to note that 2019 is still ongoing, and
there could be more studies than in 2018; (3) Scopus has the most significant studies, with 27 articles,
followed by WoS and IEEE Xplore, each with two papers. There isn't a single related paper about the
subject on ScienceDirect.

Four papers were published in the United States in 2014, one article in 2015, six articles in 2016,
two articles in 2017, three articles in 2018, and one article in 2019. As a result, research in that country
began in 2014, received the most contributions in 2016, and will continue until 2019. Their first article
on China was published in 2013, followed by three articles in 2014, two articles in 2015, three articles in
2016, 2017, and 2018, and one article in 2019. As can be seen, China began its research in 2013 and is still
looking into the topic. It's also worth noting that between 2014 and 2018, there was a constant trickle of
articles published. France began in 2015 with one post, followed by four in 2016, one in 2017, and two in
2018. This country began its research in 2015, and 2016 was the year in which it received the most
contributions. In 2015, Italy and Spain began their research as well. In 2016, Italy had the most articles,
followed by Spain in 2018. Only one article has been released in 2019 by Spain. Germany began its
research with one article in 2013, and the most recent article was discovered in 2018.

To conclude, from 2015 onwards, more countries begin to contribute to scientific output on this
subject, with the number of published papers doubling in 2016. The trend is expected to continue in 2018
and 2019. However, the year 2019 is still going on, so many more studies are likely to be released before
the end of the year
