Abstract
In this paper the production, export, import of coke in Poland and in the world during past years
are presented. There are also shown the reasons of changes in coke production and price. An analysis
of changes in the prices of this material in recent years was conducted. It was pointed out that in the
coming years, the trend in the market of coking coal and coke should be profitable. Increasing steel
production will be accompanied by an increase in demand for coke and coking coal.

Rys. 2. Produkcja (do października 2013), eksport, import i zużycie jawne (do września
2013) koksu w Polsce miesięcznie w tys. Mg [7]
wielkopiecowej.

Abstract
The structure of steel turbulent flow in slab mould is studied using mathematical simulation, and
the k-ε turbulence model. In the present investigation, a three dimensional flow field is presented
using real geometrical dimension starting from the inlet port of the submerged entry nozzle (SEN).
Particle motion and capture were simulated using a Lagrangian trajectory-tracking approach, based on
flow field obtained from k-ε turbulence simulations. The flow structure indicates large gradients of
velocity. The velocity gradients are responsible for the steel meniscus instability.

Abstract
This paper describes the procedure for the selection of the cooling parameters and changes of
parameters methodology in continuous casting process to identify the optimal cooling rate of the
strand. Optimum cooling rate of strand will avoid too much stress that may lead to the formation of
defects in the strand as internal cracks and core porosity. Proper selection of cooling intensity with the
selection of the optimal strand rate extraction will ensure the achievement of the assumed quality of
the cast product.

Okrajové a počáteční podmínky parciálních
diferenciálních rovnic určovaly dvě úlohy – obr. 1.
energetických jednotek alternativních a netradičních paliv.
Princip

Abstract
The article provides information on the issues of waste production and identification of grounds
for their emergence at different stages of the manufacturing process. The problem was reviewed in
relation to legal regulations in this field, furthermore the results of proprietary analyses were
presented. It was found that the main causes for waste occurrence in the manufacturing process are
the type of raw materials used in production, the inability to recycle wastes, technological solutions
and incompetent actions of the employees. Malfunctions were the least significant cause.

Abstract
Existing since 2005, the law on the management of end-of-life vehicles require vehicle owners
responsibility to pass it exclusively to dismantle the station (equipped with the appropriate technical
infrastructure and equipment for the environmentally safe disposal and recycling) or transfer them to
a collection point in cooperating with these stations.
Imposed on owners and managers of these stations responsibilities for the technical
infrastructure requirements, procedures for dealing with established vehicles and generated during
removal of waste and waste water management – are large part of the cost of production and
maintenance of the station. Therefore, the managers of these facilities are forced to seek ways and
means of effective management of the business in order to minimize costs and increase profits.
One of the many solutions that can improve the economics of the operation of this group of
plants is preceded by earlier techno-economic analysis of the introduction of the developed solutions
and procedures to undertake additional activities related to the process of recovery and recycling of
waste generated during removal vehicles.

FINANCIAL-INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER
AS A TOOL OF IMPROVING
THE FUNCTIONING OF THE REGION
Abstract
The article considers the concept of financial and economic cluster, which will help to improve
the production and economic situation in a selected region. The article describes the basic steps for
creating a cluster and advantages of the implementation of this project.
Introduction
regional economy. The main thing they have in common is that, due to synergistic
effects, productivity increases both in the cluster and in related sectors of the
economy. Thus, regions with well-functioning clusters have higher rates in the
dynamics of development, and clustering is one of the most promising areas of
economic development and raise of competitiveness.
The mechanism of creation of financial-industrial cluster (FIC) is an
interconnected complex of procedures and tasks for creating enterprise structure
(economic agent), which operates on the basis of an appropriate production
structure, financial and credit relations of the participants and the control system.
To improve the quality of functioning of the region through the synergistic
reserves of business integration it is necessary to carry out the following steps:
to determine alternative directions of self-development, which business
structures are already implementing;
to identify areas of information coordination with the external and internal
environment, which may contribute to the accelerated development of business
structures;
to work out effective combination of alternative directions of self-development
in importance of their implementation for self-preservation of business
structures;
to choose, on the strength of the features of the current model of sustainable
behavior of business structures, the appropriate structure of combining
alternative directions of self-development for ensuring the greatest potential of
self-development in the form of ability to achieve a balance between their
internal and external changes.
The main purpose of FIC is the creation of a long-term co-operation aimed at
the formation and implementation of joint programs in the domestic market for
provision and improvement of competitiveness of business organizations through
synergistic reserves. Realization of this goal provides for building a structure of
FIC in the form of the following blocks:
1. Financial;
2. Industrial;
3. Providing.
The integration of industrial and financial organizations is voluntary.
Therefore, financial-industrial cluster is substantiated as the legal form and created
as a set of entities. Partial consolidation of their tangible and intangible assets,
based on their agreement on the establishment, is advisable.
LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT
Fig. 1. Matrix of determining priority sectors of the economy for the formation and
development of integrated business structures
On the axes of the matrix above we propose to use the level of development
and the attractiveness of the business structure (its competitiveness).
The level of development is measured by the share of revenue of industry in
gross regional product (an industry with a maximum share in GRP is adopted per
item in this coordinate system). We propose to measure the attractiveness through
the labor productivity as percentage (ratio) of the most productive industry:
Zone A – this is the area of the matrix, which includes business structures with
low productivity and low competitiveness.
Zone B – is the area occupied by business organizations with a high degree of
competitiveness (the scale), but with low productivity. For this reason, such
industries and companies tend to develop extensively. Therefore, the vector of
development for this sector of the matrix is the use of a set of measures which
increase productivity.
Zone C – is a favorable sector of the matrix for companies and industries. The
more businesses and industries in the region belong to the sector, the more
competitive the economy of the region and higher the quality of life of its
citizens are.
Zone D – a zone of businesses and industries that can claim to be the “core” in
the integrated business structures. Industries and companies with high potential
and low level of development in the region belong to this sector. In this regard,
such industries and companies are needed to be developed intensively, and their
integration is the most efficient tool for rapid and sustainable economic growth
in the competitive sectors of the economy.
Effective combination of alternative directions of a synergistic development of
integrated business structures, identified in the proposed sectors, represents the
most sustainable pattern of enterprise behavior by criterion of self-development.
106
The project of creation of FIC is a document which allows the founders and
the authorized agencies of federal executive power to take decisions on granting
official status to FIC and contains the necessary evidence of its compliance with
the existing regulatory and legal framework, as well as the requirements of
economic and social efficiency.
The development of the project of FIC includes two stages:
preparatory, which helps to find out the overall economic advisability of
creating a cluster. Here you need to take a decision about full-scale work on the
project;
main, which provides preparation of consolidated organizational and economic
documents of the project.
I. Preparatory stage:
1. First phase – identifying the relevance and the possibility of its creation, as
well as the formation (in general terms) of the basic idea of creation and
functioning of the cluster.
2. Second phase – identification of potential participants of FIC; obtaining the
necessary information about their capabilities and results of operation.
3. Third phase – getting marketing information about the state of a market in
areas of specialization and product groups of FIC, corresponding to the
needs of the state, as well as current and future needs of the domestic
market.
4. Fourth phase – making a preliminary decision about the structure of the
cluster, areas of specialization, method of forming the head company,
principles of interaction of industrial enterprises and banks.
5. Fifth phase – identification and assessment of the potential effectiveness of
FIC components.
During the formation of a preliminary list of participating companies you
should take into account all restrictions, which are given in the law about
participating in FIC. One of the limitations is the inability for enterprises to
participate in more than one FIC.
It is necessary to have organizations among the participants of the FIC, which
are acting in the production of goods and services, as well as banks and other credit
institutions.
It is also necessary to form the idea of the promising markets for FIC activity.
For this purpose you can use:
the results of existing marketing elaborations in enterprises;
conjunctural surveys on the areas of specialization of the cluster.
The main objective of all investment projects of the cluster is the development
of new energy-saving technologies, upgrading and modernization of production,
diversification of the regional market.
Development of the creating project of FIC, disclosure of the contents of each
component parts allows us to formulate the main provisions of modeling the
structure of management of the integrated group. They include:

Abstract
In the paper there is an attempt to answer the question: why in spite of using in cars ABS
system, its participate in so many accidents, especially with pedestrians? The major cause is probably
car driver’s mindfulness and knowledge about Anti Block System restrictions. On the ground, made
on Car Drivers Training Centre, researches there have educed the most popular situation, when ABS
is not as helpful as drivers expect.

Efektywność hamowania
Reakcja
Reakcja Droga hamowania
kierującego
pojazdu rzeczywistego
spowodował wydłużenie drogi hamowania nawet do 4 metrów.
najlepszych oponach w badanej grupie.
