History
The Fauji Foundation (“FF” or “Foundation”), incorporated in 1954 under the
charitable endowments act of 1890, is a trust dedicated for the welfare of ex-
servicemen and their families. The origin of the Foundation lies in the “Military
Reconstruction Fund”, constituted with effect from 1st April 1942 by the
Government of India, for the post-war welfare and rehabilitation of army veterans of
the war then in progress, and their dependents, defined as the “Beneficiaries” (re-
named as “Post-War Services Reconstruction Fund (PWSR). By 1947 the PWSR
fund were transferred and remained with the Government of Pakistan until 1952,
which were then transferred to the Army. The funds were initially invested in
establishing a Textile Mill, later from its income, first 50 bedded hospital was
established in Rawalpindi.

The objective of the Foundation is to provide welfare services to its beneficiaries


that include healthcare, subsidized education, stipends and vocational and
technical training. It operates on a complete self-sustaining basis and receive no
grants or assistance from any Government or Non-Governmental Organisations.

Fauji Foundation is the largest social welfare network outside Government, and one
of the largest business conglomerates operating in Fertilizer, Cement, Power
Generation, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas exploration, Marine Terminal, Food and
Banking sectors of the country.

Welfare Health
The Fauji Foundation medical system began with
the establishment of a 50 beds hospital in 1959 at
Rawalpindi. Today, the Fauji Foundation medical
system is the largest medical chain outside the

Fauji Fertilizer Company
Limited
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC), a public listed
company incorporated in 1982, is the largest fertilizer
producing complex in Pakistan operating with three (3) Urea
manufacturing plants having combined production
capacity of 2.4 Million tons per annum.

The Company has raised its production benchmark with an


ever highest urea production of 2.523 million tons during
2016, on account of restored gas supply and operational
efficiencies. FFC alone caters for around 50% of the
Pakistan's annual urea demand.

Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim
Limited
Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL), a public listed
entity, incorporated in January 2000 and located at Bin
Qasim, Karachi. FFBL is a joint venture of Fauji Foundation
(FF) and Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC). FFBL is the
only Di-Ammonia Phosphate (DAP) manufacturing plant in
Pakistan.

FFBL has the designed capacity of producing 650,000 tons


of DAP and 551,000 tons of granular urea. Being the sole
producer of DAP, the company is making significant
contributions towards agriculture growth in the country,
meeting over 50% of DAP demand in the domestic market.

Pakistan Maroc
Phosphore S.A.
Pakistan Maroc Phosphore (PMP), a joint venture between
Fauji group and Office Cherifien des Phosphate (OCP), a
Moroccan Government entity managing all phosphate
reserves of the Kingdom of Morocco. This project is the first
foreign direct investment by Fauji Group with 50%
shareholding in the company.

The rationale of this investment is primarily to secure long-


term supply of phosphoric acid, being the raw material, to
FFBL for its DAP production. The plant has the production
capacity of 375,000 metric tons of phosphoric acid per
annum and currently undertaking upgradation of its
capacity.

Fauji Cement Company
Limited
Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL), a public listed
company, established in November 1997, located at Fateh
Jang, Punjab with shareholding of Fauji Group around 49%.

The plant has production capacity of 3.45 million tons per


annum and is considered as one of the premium brands of
ordinary Portland Cement in Pakistan. The company is in the
process of setting up a Waste Heat Recovery plant to
minimize the carbon footprints and cost optimization.

Askari Cement Company
Limited
Askari Cement Company Limited (ACL), established in
1921, is the oldest cement manufacturing plant in Pakistan.
The plant was acquired by Fauji Foundation in July, 2013.
The company has two plants located in Wah (Punjab) and
Nizampur (Khyber Pakhtun Khwa) with cumulative
production capacity of 2.67 million tons per annum.

The company is currently undertaking Balancing,


Modernization & Replacement (BMR) at its Nizampur plant
and Waste Heat Recovery plant at its Wah plant. This will
resultantly increase the production capacity and optimize
the cost of production.

Fauji Oil Terminal &
Distribution Company
Limited
Fauji Oil Terminal & Distribution Company Limited
(FOTCO), a state-of-the-art environmental friendly marine
oil handling and storage terminal at Port Qasim,
established in 1995. FOTCO is a joint venture of Fauji
Foundation and Infraavest Ltd. of Singapore. The terminal
is an all-weather 30-meter draft jetty capable of handling
vessels of 25,000 to 75,000 DWT. FOTCO is the only
terminal in Pakistan equipped with modern Automated
Jetty Monitoring System.

The terminal, with exclusive handling rights of handling


furnace Oil at Port Bin Qasim, has designed handling
capacity of 9 million tons per annum of oil with a potential to
handle up to 27 million tons per annum. The terminal is ISO
certified Terminal with International Ship and Port Facility
Security (ISPS) regulations.

Fauji Akbar Portia Marine
Terminal Limited
Fauji Akbar Portia Marine Terminal Limited (FAP), a joint
venture between Fauji Foundation and Akbar Group of
companies. The company owns & manages a state of the art
marine terminal at Port Bin Qasim, Karachi for bulk and
packaged handling of grain, wheat, fertilizer & Oil seeds etc.

FAP is the only automated bulk dry cargo handling terminal


in Pakistan with annual designed capacity of about 4.1
million tons of dry cargo and storage capacity of 100,000
tons.

Fauji Trans Terminal
Limited
Fauji Trans Terminal Limited (FTTL), a joint venture between
Fauji Oil Terminal and Distribution Company (FOTCO) and
Trans Group Limited for setting up storage facilities of oil
products at Port Bin Qasim, Karachi. The project is in
development stage and expected to commence its
construction activities in 1st quarter 2018.

The project is envisaged to develop storage facilities of


around 250,000 tons. The terminal will be capable to store
High Speed Diesel, Motor Gasoline and Condensate.

Fauji Kabirwala Power
Company Limited
Fauji Kabirwala Power Company Limited (FKPCL), a
157MW combined cycle power plant located near
Kabirwala (Punjab). The company is a joint venture
between Fauji Foundation, M/s Pendekar Power, Malaysia
and Asian Development Bank.

The plant is being operated and maintained by in-house


engineers and staff. Since the commencement of its
operations in October 1999, the plant has achieved the
highest rate of availability. Based on its performance, the
plant has been declared the World's Best Combined Cycle
Plant by Simens for many years in a row.

Foundation Power Company
Daharki Limited
Foundation Power Company Daharki Limited (FPCDL), a low
BTU (British Thermal Unit) gas fired combined cycled power
plant with installed capacity of 175 MW. The plant
commenced its operations in 2011 and is located in Daharki
(Sindh). The company is a joint venture between Fauji
Foundation and Asian Development Bank. It employs
modern technology under strict international and
environment friendly standards.

Foundation Wind Energy –
I & II Limited
Foundation Wind Energy Limited I & II (FWEL-I & FEWL-II)
are renewable energy companies located in Gharo, Sindh
with cumulative installed capacity of 100 MW (50MW X 2).
The projects commenced their operations in 2015 and lies
within the wind corridor identified by Alternate Energy
Development Board.

The projects are developed through joint venture of Fauji


Group, CapAsia of Malaysia and Tapal Group. The projects
are one of the pioneer wind projects in Pakistan, registered
under Kyoto Protocol and earns around 80,00 CER
(Certified Emission Reduction or Carbon Credits) annually.

FFC Energy Limited
FFC Energy Limited (FFCEL), a wholly owned company of
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, commenced its
operations in May 2013, is a pioneer wind power generation
company in Pakistan. It is country's signature project in
renewable energy and a major milestone towards
achievement of self-sufficiency in energy production
through renewable resources. This project is located at
Jhimpir, Thatta, Sindh with designed generation capacity of
50MW.

FFBL Power Company
Limited
FFBL Power Company Limited (FPCL), an unlisted public
limited company which started its commercial operations
on 19 May 2017. The plant is located at Port Bin Qasim,
Karachi and capable of generating 118 MW electricity. The
project is primarily envisaged to provide energy to Fauji
Fertilizer Bin Qasim Company Limited as a substitute to fuel
gas for its enhanced fertilizer production. The company
also supplies electricity of 60 MW to Karachi Electric.

Thar Energy Limited
Thar Energy Limited (TEL), is a 330MW indigenous coal fired
power plant located in Thar, Sindh. The project is a joint
venture between Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO),
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) and China
Machinery Engineering Co (CMEC). The project is in
advance planning stage and is expected to be operational
by 2020. TEL is one of the CPEC Energy sector projects.

Askari Bank Limited
Askari Bank Limited (AKBL), a public listed company
incorporated on October 9, 1991. The bank was acquired by
consortium of Fauji Group comprising of Fauji Foundation,
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Bin
Qasim Limited in 2013. The bank has an extensive network
of over 500 branches providing both Conventional and
Islamic Banking services in Pakistan along with its presence
in Bahrain & China. The bank has secured credit rating of
AA+.

Mari Petroleum Company
Limited
Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), a public listed
company is a joint venture between Fauji Foundation,
Government of Pakistan and Oil & Gas Development
Company Limited. MPCL is a fully integrated exploration and
production company, having the highest success ratio (70%)
of discoveries, holding around 11% market share of gas
production in Pakistan.

MPCL is operating the country`s largest gas reservoir i-e


Mari Field with an estimated recoverable gas reserves of 2.2
trillion standard cubic feet. The company produced 224
BSCF (Billion standard cubic feet) of gas and 684,000
Barrels of oil in FY 2016-17. MPCL is also listed in FTSE
Global equity index.

Foundation Gas
Foundation Gas (FG), established in 1973, is one of the first
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing and distribution
companies in the country. Foundation Gas is considered as
the pioneer in LPG distribution business in Pakistan. FG has
three filling plants in Rawalpindi, Mehmood Kot and Karachi
with bottling capacity of around 154 metric tons per shift
along with storage capacity of over 1,490 metric tons and
distribution network of over 500 distributors.

Fauji Infraavest Foods
Limited
Fauji Infraavest Foods Limited (FIFL), a public unlisted
company commissioned in 2016, is a joint venture between
Fauji Foundation and M/s Infraavest Limited of Singapore.
FIFL is one of the most advanced Italian short-cut pasta and
vermicelli manufacturing plant in the country with the
designed capacity of around 11,000 tons per annum.

Fauji Foods Limited
Fauji Foods Limited (FFL) is a public listed company
established in 1966 and acquired by Fauji Group in May
2015. FFL is considered to be the pioneer in dairy sector of
Pakistan.

The company has milk processing capacity of about


600,000 litres per day and its brand 'Nurpur' is considered as
one of the most reputable brands in Pakistan. The company
produces UHT Milk, Pasteurized Milk, Flavoured milk, Liquid
Tea Whitener, Butter, Juices and cheese.

Fauji Fresh n Freeze
Limited
Fauji Fresh n Freeze Limited (FFFL), a wholly owned
company of FFC, is the first Individual Quick Freeze (IQF)
and Vapor Heat Treatment (VHT) processing facility in
Pakistan. The plant commenced its operations in March,
2015 and is capable of processing frozen cut fruits such as
Mango, Pomegranate, Apple, Melon, Peach etc. and a host
of frozen cut vegetable under IQF.

FFFL is the largest fruits and vegetable processing plant in


Pakistan and not only providing its quality products in
Pakistan but exporting as well. The plant has the processing
capacity of 24,000 tons per annum. 'Opa', French fries is
one of the most popular locally produced French fries. FFFL
has certified its products through ISO 9001-2008, HACCP,
BRC, Global G.A.P and Halal certifications.

Fauji Meat Limited
Fauji Meat Limited (FML), a public unlisted company
commenced its commercial operations in April 2016. The
facility is located at Port Bin Qasim and comprised of a state
of the art Halal abattoir and meat processing complex
spreading over 47 acres of land and 3 days holding area.

FML is the largest meat processing plant in Pakistan with the


designed production capacity of 100 tons per day of Beef
and Mutton. FML is predominantly exporting its products to
Middle East, Iran and China. FML has obtained ISO 9001,
Halal Certification, JAKIM, HACCP, FSMS 22001 and AQD
certification.

Fauji Cereals
Fauji Cereals (FC), established in 1954, is the pioneer
commercial venture of Fauji Foundation and even to-date
the largest and only producer of breakfast cereals in
Pakistan. FC is now producing wide range of products
including corn/wheat/rice/choco corn/honey corn flakes,
wheat/rice/barley porridge and many more. The product
has also been awarded the American Quality Award,
International Food Award, International Leading Company
and best Exporter Food Award.

Overseas Employment
Services
Overseas Employment Services (OES), operating since
1978, providing employment services for both ex-
servicemen and civilians abroad. Through its regressive
selection process, OES has earned reputation in categories
covered (i.e. professional, skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled
manpower). The project is significantly providing manpower
resource to various hospitals and ministries in Middle east
and has successfully employed over 10,700 personal to
date.
