1. MAC VERSION

1.1 INTRODUCTION
What is Mulppy?

Mulppy is a cross-platform application to visualize presentations and introduce

videos, images and video tests. With Mulppy you will be able to visualize a great
amount of videos and play them frame by frame.

It has originally been created for refereeing instructors and students, though it can
also help different federations and sport clubes to enhance their teaching activities.

1.2 BASIC KNOWLEDGE

How to install Mulppy?

1. Download the installation file. In order to download the installation file enter App
Store, look for Mulppy in the search engine and click on “Obtain" > "Install”.

2. Once it is downloaded, open the “Mulppy.mpp” file. This file is inside the
applications folder. Right click or double click on the file.

3. In order to exit the application, click on “Close"/"Quit”. A new window will appear
automatically. Click on “Accept”.

Basic Functionalities

How to open a presentation?

1. To open a presentation, make sure you have downloaded the .mpp file.
2. Open the application. You will see the option “Open Project” on the welcome
panel.
3. Click on “Open Project”. A new window will appear. Choose the presentation
you want to open.

4. Select the file and click on “Open”.

5. A new window will appear automatically to allow Mulppy access the resource
folder.

6. Click on “Accept“ and finally on “Permit“.

Warning: you will only be able to open one presentation

at a time.

IMPORTANT You must perform this operation to give permission for

each new project you wish to open. Once opened for the
first time, the system will no longer require permissions
to open it.

Visualization of the menu

You will have a set of basic buttons in Mulppy. These buttons will always be in the
same place.

1. In the main menu of Mulppy, the “Quit” button will appear (upper right corner).
2. If you choose any section in the main menu, this button will switch to “Home”.
“Home” will take you to the main screen.
3. In case you visualize multimedia content, this button will switch to “Back”.
“Back” will take you to the previous screen.

4. In case you visualize a video, you will have an "INFO" section (lower right corner,
above the playbar). The "INFO" section shows information about the clip. Click
on any tab to read the content. To exit, click on “Back” and the video will play
back.

Keyboard shortcuts

To help you understand better the new video control video, Mulppy allows
you to use a series of keyboard shortcuts:

Shift

Space bar Directional arrows

Clip shortcuts

• To pause or play the clip, click on “B” or on the space bar.

• To move to the next clip, click on “N”.

• To move to the previous clip, click on “P”.

• To go backward inside the clip, click on “J”.

• To move forward faster inside the clip, click on “L”.

• To restart the clip, click on “R”.

• To open the "INFO" window, click on "I".

• To close the "INFO" window, click on "X".

• To close the clip and go back to the corresponding topic menu, click on "C".

• To go back to the home menu, click on "H".

Speed shortcuts

• To play the clip frame by frame click on the “directional arrow”.

• To play the clip faster click on “Shift + directional arrow”.

• To play the clip at 4.0x click on “9”.

• To play the clip at 1.0x click on “0”.

• To play the clip at 0.5x click on “?”.

• To play the clip at -2.0x click on “¿”.

Display errors

If Mulppy shows difficulties when it comes to displaying its whole interface, follow the
next steps:

• Once Mulppy is open, go to “System Preferences…”. You need to click the Apple
logo placed in the left superior area of your screen in order to do it.

• Click the “Displays” option.

• Click “Scaled”, choose the “More Space” option and check that the display
“looks like 1920x1200”.

Display errors

If Mulppy shows difficulties when it comes to display its whole interface, there are two
options to solve it:

1. (Recommended option) In your computer, go to “Screen settings”. In order to do it,

follow the next path: "Start" > "Settings" > "System" > "Display".

In the "Scale and layout" section, choose 1920x1080 as display resolution.

2. Once Mulppy is open, go to the upper left section of the app, where you will
see a gear icon. Click on it, then on "Size" and finally choose "Small".
