NARRATIVE REPORT ON MOBILIZATION OF ESSENTIAL ITEMS
The continuing threat of COVID-19 in the country and the world brings about
unprecedented challenges to basic education. Teachers must adapt to alternative learning
modalities, and ensure that all learners must acquire and master the skills expected from
them. The COVID-19 crisis is having an impact on every dimension of our lives, including
the economic status.
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, this year’s Brigada Eskwela shall
ensure that support for the provision of learning opportunities while ensuring that the
health, safety and well-being of learners, teachers and personnel are protected. School
heads and teachers shall engage partners to raise the availability of funds for the following
essential items for the school such as thermal scanner, hand sanitizer, alcohol, cleaning
material for the disinfection of the work place, surgical masks and face shields.
Based on the reported donations on partnership initiatives from June 1 to

October 31, 2020, San Mateo National High School received 41,645.00 worth of essential
items from generous parents, stakeholders, alumni and partners which includes thermal
scanners, sanitizing materials (i.e. rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, hand soap), cleaning tools
and materials, disinfectants, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), face masks (surgical or
disposal), face shields and hygiene kits for health and safety.
These essential items were distributed to Faculty & Staff, parents & learners
during the orientation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) in the school
and in the different feeder barangays.
Thus, San Mateo National High School expresses gratitude to donors from
various sectors that continue to extend help to school through its “Brigada Eskwela” program.
