I. Objectives:
a. identify the instruments of Visayas
b. share their opinions on how to preserve the instrument of Visayas
c. project through body gestures on how to play the instrument
II. Subject Matter
a. Topic: Music of Visayas
b. Reference: Mapeh Book
c. Materials: Visual Aids, Book and Laptop
III. Procedures:
A. Preparatory Activities
 Greetings
 Prayer
 Checking of Attendance
 Motivation

-The teacher ask the class if they observed instruments that seen usually in our
community.

-Then the teacher will show a picture of instrument in Visayas and Mindanao
B. Developmental Activities
Based on the activity stated the teacher will ask the questions
1. What have you observed from these pictures?
2. What are the similarities of these two pictures?
C. Lesson Proper
1. ACTIVITY
The teacher will group the class into four and after that each group will be
given some pictures of the different instrument in Visayas. Every group will discuss
and classify the instruments into aerophones, chordophones, membranophones and
idiophones. The group will be given 15 minutes to finish their mission.
2. ANALYSIS
1. What are the classification of instruments?
2. How will you preserve the instruments in Visayas?
3. ABSTRACTION
On pages 159 to 162 on your text, study and discuss with your group the
classification of each instruments.
4. APPLICATION
The teacher will choose the picture from the picture she/he gave in every
group then, they will project or perform through gestures on how to play those
instruments. The teacher will give 2 minutes to discuss and choose 1
representative by each group.
5. ASSESSMENT
The remaining 4 members in each group take part in the last activity. The
teacher will posted in the board the classification of instruments. In every group
will choose 4 representative to classify those pictures through posting on the
board.
IV. AGREEMENT
The last person who did not participate in a group will be the one who
explain “Why do you think this is classified as aerophone., membranophone,
chordophone, idiophone?”
