Mechanical Layout Instructions:

• Project is assigned for the candidates of Mechanical/Aeronautical/Automobile/other Sub-

Branches
• Refer the document provided (For Clarity of Reference Document, it is recommended to
open document in Adobe Acrobat Reader and press Ctrl+5)
• Each part to be designed in Orthographic views in AutoCAD 2D
• Draw the section views and detailed views wherever necessary
• Define the necessary annotations and assume missing dimensions (if any)
• Available standard parts can be chosen from tool palettes and design center
• Use different layers for different parts
• Imagine assembly and draw one of its orthographic view (not compulsory)
• Draft models using standard template (Title bar & Frame must include) for each part
• Title bar needs to be defined using attributes for each part
• Create Bill of Materials
• Save the file in .dwg/.dwt, .pdf, .jpg
• Achieve saved files in zip folder using Power ISO and mail the file
• Project to be saved in following list of formats:
o CandidateName_CandidateBatch_CourseName.dwg
o CandidateName_CandidateBatch_CourseName.dxf
o CandidateName_CandidateBatch_CourseName.pdf
o CandidateName_CandidateBatch_CourseName.jpg
• Compress all the above documents in zip format (if possible)
