NARRATIVE REPORT ON BRIGADA ESKWELA

2019-2020

The school is an institution which is accountable in making the students into

responsible individuals of the society. This is where one is crafted to be the future of the
entire nation. As a child friendly institution, schools must be properly equipped, well
maintained, conducive to learning and safe at all times. All these things are attainable with
the help and assistance of the different stakeholders of the institution.

Annually, the Department of Education holds the nationwide National Schools

Maintenance Week (DepEd Memorandum No.12) commonly known as “Brigada Eskwela”. It
aims to prepare the physical condition of the school before the opening of classes. As a
newly hired member of the faculty of Hulo Integrated School, I started reporting in school
after the Brigada Eskwela week. I was assigned to prepare the classroom of my advisory
class by checking its cleanliness, and by following the instructions stipulated in the checklist
given by my grade level chairman. Other instructions were given by my fellow Grade 7
teachers, the rest of the teachers of the High School Department, Principal and Assistant to
the principal. We all worked together to make our classrooms ready for the coming school
year 2019-2020.

Truly, a program such as the Brigada Eskwela is an essential ingredient in building a

nation with schools that provide quality, competent and safe school environment to the
learners, to make their school year an enjoyable and fruitful one.
