7. REF'ORTS: The manufacturer sha7.l furnish three copies of a cer~ified report of
~ the results of chemical analysis ar ►d grain size on each heat and size on each shi~
ment. Thi.s report shrYll include the purchaNe order number, he£~t number, material
~~ specification number, ~ize, and quantity in each heet. If forgings are supplied,
~~ the pert number and size of st~eel used to make the forgings shall slso be
included.

, 8. SHIPMENTS: A shipment of material shall not contfu.n . more than one he~t of steel.

9. IDF~iTIFICATION: All material sha3.1 be identified by a he~t number or code letter.


Forgings xeighing 1/2 lb or more shall be atamped, smaller forgings may be boxed
and the identification encloseel. Bar stock 2" or larger must be stamped within 2"
of one end. Smaller bars may either be stamped or securely bundled and identified
by a metal tag attached to each bundle. l~aterial that cannot be identified at
de~ tination is aub~ect to rejection.

10. RFJECTIOATS: ~aterial not conforming to this apecification, or modifications speci—


fied on the drawing or the purchase order, is-subject to rejection. If samples
for verification are desired by the vendor, they must be clairaed v~ithin three
weeks. Re~ected materiel or parts ~rill be held a reasonable time, at vendor~s risk
awaiting shipping instructions for the return of same for credit or replacement
as specified. Vendor shall. pay all transportation charges.
