IFV-30 Weapon System

HARD HITTING POWER FOR INFANTRY

FIGHTING VEHICLES
The IFV-30 turret system is a complete two-man turret system for tracked
and wheeled infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs). Evolved from the combat-
proven LAV-25 turret system, the IFV-30 turret puts well proven modern
fighting capability into today's infantry fighting vehicles.

GDLS has long been a world leading supplier of infantry fighting vehicle
turret systems. The combat-proven LAV-25 turret system experience
enabled GDLS to produce this next generation highly armored 30mm
turret system. The IFV-30 turret system is an advanced heavy armor turret
system designed for ground and helicopter engagements while providing
the crew with maximum protection. Subsystem commonality was
achieved by using existing production hardware: dual axis stabilized
sight, laser range finder, second generation thermal sight, Bushmaster II
or MK-44 30mm cannon.

The IFV-30 turret system is easy to operate and highly reliable. The
system integrates turret drive and controls, sights, and weapons for fire-
on-the-move capability. Both commander and gunner have ready access
to all turret functions.

The main weapon of the IFV-30 turret is a rapid-firing chain-fed 30mm

cannon. The secondary weapon is a 7.62mm machine gun or customer-
specified weapon, aimed coaxially with cannon. Pintle-mounted weapon
options include a 7.62mm or customer-specified machine gun.

Available sights include high quality direct view optics, image

intensifiers, and second- and third-generation thermal imagers. Sights and
weapons are stabilized providing for fire-on-the-move capability with
very high accuracy. Fire control options include a displaced reticle,
director, or director with auto-tracker. Periscopes provide additional
situation awareness.
