Sanction under section 20(4) of Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning Act, 1966

Whereas, the Govt. of Maharashtra in Urban Development Department, vide Notification

No. TPS-3716/CR-268/2016/UD-30 dated 0210112018, sanctioned Regional Plan of Latur
District subject to the modifications specified in Schedule- A appended thereto. As per the said
Schedule-A, Govt. in supersession of earlier Notification No. TPS 3715/1563/CR
300/2015IUD30 dated 26/09/2016, issued the directions that the Growth Centre Plan of Fringe
Area, Latur shall be prepared under the provisions of Maharashtra Regional & Town Planning
Act, 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"). For this, the procedure mentioned under
section 20 of the said Act shall be followed in consultation with Joint Director, Aurangabad
Division, Aurangabad. The collector, Latur is authorised to publish notice under section 20(3)
and finally sanction under section 20(4) in respect of the Growth Centre of Fringe Area, Latur.

And whereas, the area of Growth Centre Plan of Latur Fringe area comprises of 40
villages surrounding Latur Municipal Corporation and admeasures 27,333 Ha. The Existing
Land Use (ELU) map of entire area was prepared through Geographical Information System
(GIS). Accordingly the Draft Growth Centre Plan of Latur Fringe area, Latur and its report was
prepared with the consent from Joint Director, Town Planning, Aurangabad Division,
Aurangabad.

And whereas, pursuant to above, a notice bearing no. RPLlGCP /226 dated 23/07/2019
under sub section (3) of section 20 of the said Act in respect of Draft Growth Centre Plan of
Latur Fringe area, Latur was published and appeared in the Maharashtra Government Gazette,
Aurangabad Division supplement dated 01-07/08/2019 for inviting suggestions and/or objections
from general public within 30 days from the date of publication of notice in the Maharashtra
Government Gazette.
 And whereas, after hearing and considering all the suggestions/objections and after
consulting the Joint Director of Town Planning, Aurangabad Division, it is felt necessary to
sanction the said Draft Growth Centre Plan of Latur Fringe area, Latur with certain amendments.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 20 of

the said Act and the power delegated by the Govt in this behalf wide Notification dated
02/0112018, the Collector, Latur hereby sanctions the proposed modification and accords
sanction to the said Draft Growth Centre Plan of Latur Fringe area, Latur subject to certain
amendments mentioned in schedule A appended herewith.

This Notification shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Maharashtra
Government Gazette.

The Notification along with sanctioned Growth Centre Plan of Latur Fringe area, Latur
and its report shall be made available for inspection to the general public during office hours on
all working days at the following office.
