Babies that are being illegally sold is one of the issues that Atom Araullo addressed in the
documentary. This results from poor education to the people, especially teenagers, about
premarital sex and family planning. Being a teenager, we tend to become curious about the things
that we hear from other people, which usually results in accidents such as being a parent at a
young age.
Most of the babies are being sold for as low as 2,000 pesos. The most reason that the
parents are telling the buyer and authorities is the baby's future. Most of them clearly said that
they are selling their baby because they can't provide for the child's needs in the future. This is a
good reason; it's just that the way they handle the process is very illegal and against the human
rights law. The next issue that the documentary addressed is the kidnapping. There are multiple
cases where someone kidnaped babies in the hospital's nursery. Some babies were brought back
to their birth parents, but some are not. The National Bureau of Investigation is looking for chains
that will connect these cases to the babies being illegally sold online for years.
Being a parent is very hard, especially if we don't know anything about parenting. As a
person, we should learn to take responsibility for the actions that we will be doing, especially if we
are not yet ready for the consequences that may happen because unborn children still is a human
with life.
