1. What is the use of thrust bearing in an extruder?

2. State the function of screen pack and breaker plate.
3. Write the various orientation systems used in monofilament extrusion process.
4. Write the different types of mixing processes in brief.
5. What do you understand by batch type mixer? Discuss.
6. Differentiate between single screw extruder (SSE) and twin screw extruder (TSE).
7. Describe calendaring process. Also write the advantages of the process and application areas.
8. Enlist the defects in blow moulding. Also write their probable causes and remedy.
