Select CITYWALK seamlessly combines tradition and modernity in its activities and
celebrations from Diwali to Christmas, Valentine's Day to Ganesh Chaturthi, each event is
carefully organised and well thought out. Availability of different facilities ensure that the
shopper never feels the need to leave the shopping centre for something, with the aim of
always making for a smooth shopping trip. Holding of public events, exhibitions, social
gatherings like birthday parties, events related to national holidays and festivals are all
examples of promotional practises. The subgroups of the population that are the subject of a
promotional activity are known as target audiences (or target groups).

CHALLENGES FACED BY MALL AFTER LOCKDOWN

DIFFICULTIES –

 Select Citywalk Mall, which houses 180 brands, had weekend footfalls of close to
55,000 people before the covid-19 pandemic, which has now fallen to 100.

 Select CITYWALK stores are offering steep discounts ranging from 40 percent to 100
percent off in order to entice customers to return.

MALL MANAGEMENT'S CORRECTIVE ACTIONS –

 Wearing of Masks is mandatory for all the visitors.

 At the entrance gate, checking of the temperature is exercised regularly.


 Sanitation at all entrances, including the goods entrance of the shopping centre.

 The social distancing should be maintained amongst the customers while doing
purchasing.

 Food and beverage along with theatre’s can be treated separately under the new
seating arrangement norm.

 There should be further promotion of digital payments, and customers should have
more choices.
